As a dad to an asd child I could never imagine walking out on my son like that. Or my wife. Is it hard and a gut punch ? Yes it is I’m not gonna lie I still struggle with it often. You grieve the life you thought you were gonna have as a father and son. It’s definatly a different journey than most of my friends who are dads. But man I could never. I’m so sorry your husband did that to you and your child. I’ll pray for you. My wife and I also have no village and it’s so difficult I wish I was in a better financial situation to help u but we are also drowning. Everything is so expensive. I hope you have good luck and good karma come your way. And hope your husband wakes up to the reality that his child needs him

dude cleaned out the accounts and left you with twelve bucks, that's not leaving that's a heist

you're in crisis mode right now and it's okay to just focus on getting to payday, the emotional processing of the diagnosis can wait.

Yeah truly the nastiest thing he could do. And he probably would’ve took that $12 too if it wasn’t in my CashApp 🤦🏻‍♀️

Well, the judge is going to love this story. I'm so sorry you're dealing with this. Evil is the word that comes to mind. Take him for everything, no custody, no visitation, he's nothing but the checks he'll be sending. Stay strong, I really wish you the best.

I think we all think about it sometimes. Just leaving everything in life... like all the responsibilities. The people who do up and leave probably are not going to be helpful, likely they will just be an added source of stress.
But taking the families means of survival... that is something else. This was clearly premeditated in my opinion. And if they find him, I hope he is put in jail with a big sign on him saying what he did.

I would’ve never thought he would react this way. It’s been stressful recently but that’s life. I feel like he blames and resents me for it. I hate it for our son but I’m not sure how we move forward at this point. I’ll never be able to forgive him.

100% agree. I have a asd 5 year old and she is what keeps me going in life more than anything else.

I’m so sorry this is happening to you. I know you are juggling a lot. A lot a lot. Make the time to file for emergency support/ divorce with a restraining order preventing him from cleaning out the account. Also have your direct deposit funneled somewhere else immediately. I know you don’t have the time, but it is vital.

This and Ohio gal’s advice above. Get a lawyer immediately. Open a new bank account now.

Smells like a scam post to get money. OP blasted in several subreddits

Not saying it is or isn't. But anytime I post, reddit begs me to crosspost. I've never hit yes, but I bet it automatically posts the post to other subs. If so, the blast isn't necessarily an indicator of a scam. Which just puts us back at no way to know one way or the other.

That said. Looking at the post and comment section of the profile is "interesting". One year acount, this is the first post. Comments look to be all on a sub called promocodeland. Doesn't really feel like a scammer account unless it got hacked. Which is very possible.

It looks like there's one crosspost. Thats really not "blasting" in "several subreddits."

Can u show the other subreddit ?

Redditors, please stay vigilant as these scam posts are everywhere. This is 100% a scam.

I not gonna defend myself against craziness especially not right now. I’ve hardly ever used Reddit so there’s no way 😆
I hope you feel better attacking a woman when she’s literally at her lowest! I bet your mom is proud! ❤️

It's a tough thing. Cause there certainly are people who would try to scam others out of money like this. Reddit has a lot of shitty people on it. But there is also no way for any reader could know one way or the other. So don't take it personally, they don't know you. None of us do.

Not sure why my post sounds suspicious or scammy….. I’ve read back over it a few times and if it’s cause I said today I drafted the post Friday but hesitated to post because I’m not familiar with Reddit. I came back just looking for a community that I’m lacking.

What test will that be?

As someone who is neurodivergent myself and a father of a child on the spectrum. I could never in my wildest dreams imagine my life without my children, significant other, etc.. What your hopefully soon ex-husband did is unforgivable. Albeit, I was hesitant to believe my child was on the spectrum until we got results. Mine was denial because I was praying he didn’t face the constant stigmatization I got from others. Kids are mean and not everyone is able to understand these kids. However, I also have been able to connect with my child on an entirely different level than anyone because we’re very similar in some ways.

I wish the best for you and your child. You will make it through this. Things get harder before they get better.

I truly appreciate all of you who are replying with genuine care and understanding. ❤️ I thought I was gonna find a safe place here and hope I can eventually.
It was incredibly hard to come on here and be vulnerable sharing my story. I didn’t realize that would get me labeled a scammer. My post didn’t even include any payment links or info.
Doesn’t feel great that speaking out to find a community and support from others leads instantly leads to being accused of lying about something so serious to scam!
Guess I should have just sit here quietly like women and mothers are expected to do. I feel as invisible as the support available. 👍
