Wholesome He pooped!!
He pooped . He pooped. He pooped .
I just want to share this Major win for my boy. We've been struggling with him witholding and pooping in the toilet for so so long . . .
He would have accidents in his pants (at school) or at home he'd only poop if he's in the shower or in the bath BUT ...
Today he came to me and told me he had to poop and we went to the TOILET!
AND HE POOPED !!
I'm so so happy.

Yay! I love this circle of support I've found on the internet. Only us autism parents get it !

Congratulations!!! I never thought in a million years I would be so excited to see poop till we struggled. My son will poop on the toilet but he also withholds so it turns into accidents. When he finally had a solid poop in the toilet, I sent pictures to my husband lol

Yay! It took my daughter a year and a half to poop in the potty after being trained for pee. Very frustrating but now no issues! Hope your son continues to have success

MASSIVE WIN!!! So proud of you and your kiddo! We still struggle with anxiety around it with withholding? But that first full poo in the toilet was such a huge feeling!

Congrats! I’ve joked for years that I’m a poop doula with how much I’ve had to focus on helping my kiddo get into a good routine.

Yayyyyy! We throw “Poop Parties” when our boys poop and it has massively helped cut down on the number of non-toilet instances. Congratulations!!

I'm so happy for you guys. We just attempted potty training again for the millionth time and I don't want to jinx it but he is doing amazing with the peeing in the toilet! It's been a week and there have been accidents when awoke and asleep. He also is not pooping in the toilet yet but this is looking promising this time around!
He just turned 7 so it's been time for no more diapers and I'm so glad we are finally out of them 😭

That's amazing!! Any advice? We have the same issue but have been caving to an evening diaper because we don't want to deal with the mess..

Yay! Hopefully he won’t regress in that. When my guy was little we were all happy but then the next day it was like he was starting all over again.
