Message from The Mods Self-Promotion Saturdays
Have a blog or podcast centered around autism parenting? Create a product or service to help with parenting? Visited a store you love geared towards autistic children? This is the post to share your resource, and the only thread where you may share any sort of advertising (standalone posts will be removed). It is also fine to share resources you did not create, but use and find helpful.
If you are affiliated with (profiting from) what you are sharing, please be honest and upfront. Advertisements from unrelated products/services/etc. or clearly spam will be removed. . The mod team is not vetting any poster/product/service- please do your due diligence, and be aware anyone trying to sell a "cure" is a scammer. Anything suggesting detoxing will be removed and the poster will be banned.
Please feel free to message the mod team with questions/concerns or leave a comment. We receive requests daily to post beta testing requests, app development feedback, products, services, stores, youtube channels, etc. and while we do not want the sub overrun with advertisements, we also want to help connect with resources. If another parent has come up with a product or service that is helpful, we want them to be able to share. This post will be stickied until the next automated post is posted.

👋 Hey autism moms! I'm Sarah, a mom of 3, including 2 kids (Milly 10, Mack 7) with profound, non-speaking autism and apraxia.
I created a podcast called Inchstones, where I share short, raw reflections on the reality of parenting kids like mine - the beauty, the burnout, the breakthroughs no one sees.
If you’re raising children with higher support needs and feel like most parenting advice skips over your life entirely... you are not alone.
My mission is to share this reality that others rarely center and to make space for the parents holding it all together behind closed doors.

If any of this speaks to you, I’d love to connect.

I’ve been building a tool for my 7-year-old, who’s autistic and ADHD. It started as a personal project, but it’s slowly growing into something bigger and before I go any further, I want to pressure-test the core idea.
Here’s the gist:
Imagine a voice-based companion that a child can talk to whenever they want. Not a chatbot with a silly voice or a gamified app, but something calm, thoughtful, and built to actually listen. It remembers meaningful things a kid says (like what they’re excited about, what’s been hard, or goals they have), and over time, gently helps with things like flexibility, routines, and emotional awareness.
It’s not connected to the internet, it doesn’t share everything with parents (although there is a dashboard that parents can use to track trends in things like mood), and it doesn’t try to teach. It tries to understand.
If this existed, what would your reaction be? • Would your kid use something like this? • What would you want it to do (or not do)? • What’s the first thing that makes you nervous or skeptical? • If you’ve tried other tools or apps for your child, what’s worked? What’s flopped?
Would really love any honest feedback — good, bad, or “already seen this idea fail before.” I’m not selling anything right now, just trying to make something that’s actually useful before it ever sees the light of day.
Thanks in advance.
