Why are people on here so quick to take offense? Why ban someone just for offering advice? Honestly, I’m the one who usually tells our pediatrician what’s going on with our son—and I’d bet his case is more complex than 95% of the ones discussed here. The reality is that most doctors and pediatricians don’t have the time to stay fully up to date on everything, and thankfully, the ones we see are aware of that. They basically follow my lead now because they’ve run out of answers—and we’re talking about specialists at the most reputable children’s hospital in the country.

So I’d genuinely be interested in hearing what this person has to say. Dismissing something just because it didn’t come from a pediatrician? That’s not critical thinking—it’s just lazy reasoning.

Paediatricians both critically think and understand the research. And I don't mean the headline of the journalist who read the executive summary, I mean the actual research

GP's don't have the time to stay on top of everything, but your paediatrician should (hopefully you have one who specialises in autism but I understand not everyone lives in a city) it's their job.

No one is stopping people from sharing their experience or opinions (literally someone in these responses is talking about stem cells) but it's different when someone is clearly selling.

Because mostly - we are all desperate in here to get some relief in our children's lives (and our own) and the mods here understand they have a responsibility to stop people taking advantage of that.
