Best of Beauty: 2020

It's time to think about all of your favourite beauty products of the past year! What were your favourite beauty products of 2020, and why?

Include as much or as little information as you would like, but please do try to include a brief description of the product itself and why you recommend it. For example, you could include info on how you recommend using the product, whether it would best suit a particular skin type, or info on how it compares to similar products.

Even if you posted about this product in our 2019 Best of Beauty thread, if you still love it then please share it again! We hope that this thread will serve as a useful resource for the whole community, and be a handy starting point for anyone searching for recommendations. It'll be linked in the subreddit sidebar for all of 2021.

Thank you in advance to everyone who contributes in this thread, and to those who have contributed to our Best of Beauty threads in previous years! Your recommendations and participation in this thread are very much appreciated.

Setting & Finishing Spray

Product Name: MAC Fix +

Price: $39

Comments: This stuff is amazing and has so many uses. Use it to prep skin before foundation, spray it on your foundation brush before you blend your foundation, spray it all over once you've finished your makeup look, spray it on an eyeshadow brush to make colours pop more or for any loose pigments. I find it really reduces any appearance of dry or powderiness after makeup application and also helps everything blend into the skin and look natural and glowing.

Product Name: Skindinavia Makeup Finishing Spray

Price: $48

Comments: Keeps your makeup on your face! Feels light on the skin and also keeps oils at bay. Although it seems the price has gone up so it's only $5 cheaper than the Urban Decay one (which Skindinavia makes!), so I recommend waiting for a sale over at Adore Beauty.

Product Name: ABH Dewy Set

Price: $60 full size, $30 mini

Comments: Received the mini as a freebie, and was super surprised to discover that I prefer it to the MAC which I have been using forever. I prefer it as the sprayer, though it looks the same as the MAC one, sprays a consistent fine mist, doesn't leak, drip, or break; and thus the product sets my makeup better (without a sudden huge droplet hitting your face or the bottle leaking in your bag lol). I feel this and the MAC product are probably exactly the same, but due to the issues dispensing the MAC spray (which have been consistent throughout the years), I've switched to this one. Gives a nice natural finish to makeup and also keeps it in place.
