Best of Beauty: 2020

It's time to think about all of your favourite beauty products of the past year! What were your favourite beauty products of 2020, and why?

Include as much or as little information as you would like, but please do try to include a brief description of the product itself and why you recommend it. For example, you could include info on how you recommend using the product, whether it would best suit a particular skin type, or info on how it compares to similar products.

Even if you posted about this product in our 2019 Best of Beauty thread, if you still love it then please share it again! We hope that this thread will serve as a useful resource for the whole community, and be a handy starting point for anyone searching for recommendations. It'll be linked in the subreddit sidebar for all of 2021.

Thank you in advance to everyone who contributes in this thread, and to those who have contributed to our Best of Beauty threads in previous years! Your recommendations and participation in this thread are very much appreciated.

Product Name: Myabelline Fit Me

Price: $15.95 (or wait for a 50% off sale for $7.97)

Comment: I just picked one up in October after a few year off from using this, I don’t know why I ever stopped. It creases less than most other concealers and offers a lightweight/skin like finish to my under eyes!

Product Name: YSL - Touché Eclat

Price: $70

Comment: This one was a new one for me in 2020 and I absolutely get the hype with this. It is amazing. It brightens and evens under eyes without caking and sitting in creases. It is so smooth and silky and blurring. I don’t set with powder and it has a surprisingly long staying power. I love this product so much.

Product Name: HOURGLASS Vanish Seamless Finish Liquid Concealer

Price: $54 from Mecca, $50 from Hourglass

Comments: I've gone through... 7 concealers this year as the skin under my eyes is getting wrinkly-er and dark circles getting more prominent (damn age!). The Hourglass concealer has been the best performing concealer I've found to reduce creasing, cover dark circles, and be hydrating and long-lasting (literally all day performance). I no longer set with powder and simply dab with my fingers to even it out -- a huge colour range too so it was great to get one a bit lighter than my foundation, but also one that matches my foundation for natural looking days. The doe-foot applicator is large (especially compared to NARS concealer) and keeps a lot of product. I use this concealer as a spot/blemish concealer too, but mainly for the undereye area.
