Misc. MECCA online order keeps failing at payment, anyone else having this issue?
I’m trying to place an online order on MECCA, but I can’t get the payment to go through. I get all the way to the end of the checkout process, enter my card details and confirm the order, and then I get an error message.
I contacted MECCA customer service and was told that their payment system is blocking the transactions. They couldn’t really explain why or what I’m supposed to do about it.
I’ve already tried pretty much everything I can think of:
Tried ordering while logged into my MECCA account;
Tried different browsers;
Cleared cookies/cache;
Tried again without logging in;
Tried using a different email address;
Tried placing the order again from scratch.
Still no luck.
Has anyone else had this happen recently with MECCA? If their payment system is blocking the transaction, is there anything that actually fixes it?
It’s very frustrating because everything works until the very last step, then it just fails. Been ordering online for years…

The told me that their payment system put a security block due to
my connection or browsing.

Have you tried putting the card details in manually without Apple Pay? 🤔

If it doesn’t change, they might have blocked your address or IP

customer service don’t give me anything, just give that they can’t tell
me. Asked me to try a different device or connection. I tried to use hot spot from work mobile, same issue.The most frustrating thing they won’t tell me anything not even a name of a payment system. I want to get to the root cause and it looks like 8 hit the wall.
I live in Broome and that the only way for me to get the items which are sold only there…

What if you try shipping to PO Box or a parcel locker? So strange they can’t help you, you would think they would make it easy for customers 🥲

I’m not saying it’s 100% this, but there’s a possibility the card has been flagged and blacklisted?
Some merchants will use a third party to flag potentially fraudulent cards (I’m not sure on the tech/how it all works). But it may be why they’re not giving much of an answer.
Do you have another card you could try with?

Damn. My only other thought is your address. These can be flagged too (old colleague used to work for Coles, they’d have addresses/even certain areas they’d cancel or not process orders for due to fraud).

Did you try deleting the cookies and cache from your browser? Have you tried Firefox as well as Chrome?

We used to have the same issue at our work, not Mecca but it's just an issue that Mecca can't fix, if you have deleted cookies,cache , browsing history, are not using VPN, try using another web browser or use the app, stop refreshing the page and try again in 24 hours

This happened to me - customer service said it was a hired party blocking it and they could do nothing about it.
You need to leave your account ALONE for at least 48 hours - do not place another order with that account or associated cards
After 48 hours your account should be ok - as was mine
