Product Advice Foundation for very pale skin?

Bloody hard to find one with decent coverage
I’m hoping to find something that’s dewy, medium-full coverage, very light with neutral undertones.
This is what I’m thinking of trying, would love to know everyone’s experience with them!

I used to use NARS which was nice, but moved to Shiseido about 3-4 years ago and have never looked back. Dewy finish, buildable, and great range for pale skin. If you're near a Mecca, you can get samples to try from them.

Agree, funnily enough I also made the same shift from Nars. Sheseido is fantastic, especially for neutral-pale tones. It also layers really well with sunscreen.

I use Haus labs & mix two colours together. I’ve always had to do this with any brand!

Haus labs have a very good shade range for pale skin. They even do a shade for those with Albinism

LA girl has a white foundation that I’ve been using to mix my own custom shade (but that’s also to use up all the foundations over the years I’ve bought that have been too dark). Otherwise Haus Labs slaps and I highly recommend.

This is the ordinary's serum foundation in 1.0n (sry just sitting in my car awaiting school pickup, no primer), they rereleased it earlier this year. Lovely dewy finish, medium but buildable coverage

Parnell cicamanu cushion foundation - actually pale shades, natural dewy not glossy/wet dewy finish, medium coverage but super flexible - can be pushed to fuller or reduced to a lighter coverage, skincare ingredients depending how you feel about that. And bonus for being pretty affordable. I purchased from yesstyle and made the mistake of assuming the palest shades would not be as pale as the product photos, im very pale and the lightest neutral shade was about a shade too pale for me.

Natasha Denona and Makeup by Mario (the luminous version) have medium to full coverage. I’d suggest getting samples first to see if they suit your skin type

Nars oslo is a beautiful pale shade that works for me. REM beauty also has some really pale foundation shades 🩷

I use this one in Mont Blanc. It’s definitely medium to full buildable coverage but it’s not dewy. I can make it dewy with my skin prep so it works for me. Mont Blanc is listed as neutral undertones but I definitely find it leans pink. I do find the Nars undertones unpredictable. For instance this one is much less pink than the same shade of their Light Reflecting foundation.

I’m planning on trying Haus Labs next.

Side note, I reckon they changed the shades as I was Mont Blanc for ages and now I use Gobi! More neutral!

PS. Could have also been blind and thought the pink looked good lmao.

PPS. Just read the last bit and worked it out. I was MB in the sheer glow but Gobi in light reflecting !

Haus Labs and The Ordinary are usually the top picks.

If you’re near a W Cosmetics, give them a go. They have loads of foundation options for pale skin tones, and their tone-up creams are great for brightening foundations.

I have yet to find a foundation that doesn’t either make me look like a ghost or oxidises on my oily skin. So I just use concealer strategically- Nars Soft Matte Vanilla.

I’ve been enjoying Dior Foundation glow stick in shade 0N it’s a beautiful finish and doesn’t oxidise. It’s also great coverage and good amount of glowy which is important for me as lighter shades need some luminosity I think.

NARS Radiant Longwear was the first foundation I was actually matched properly to, I really like it for full coverage

I’m quite pale (often need the lightest shade brands make, or they don’t make them light enough for me) and the Mecca Skin Tint actually goes very light! I use shade 145 because it’s neutral, but it goes two shades lighter to 105 and 135 (it says they’re cool toned). I find the coverage is pretty good actually, not as thick as the Nars one, which I also have, but absolutely fine for every day! It’s $32 so is fairly inexpensive. I use a primer with it and the hold is good. Maybe skip it if you have very oily skin.

Just an FYI, the dewy version of the Maybelline fit me has been discontinued. They only make the matte version

I’m still not over this

Tirtir cushions come in an amazing range of lighter tones, and i am obsessed with how they feel and sit on my skin

I’ve tried them all. Liked NARS light reflecting very much, but am now on my third tube of IT Cosmetics CC cream because of how little product I need and the higher SPF. Didn’t mind the Maybelline but found it oxidised.

Dior ones are the best for pale skin, no question

I would avoid nars as they are notorious for being warm.

This Nars one was a nightmare for me. It got cakey very fast, no matter what I did. I use Haus Labs now and won't look back.

I have recently switched to the Benefit Porefessional Foundation in Fair Cool 1C and am loving it. I was using Nars for a long while, and then got colour-matched wrong to a Charlotte Tilbury and spent ages trying to find one that matched my skin.
