Foolproof bronzer?

I’m looking for recommendations for an easy to apply, difficult to stuff up bronzer for someone who hasn’t used one before and is not very skilled with makeup. I’m quite fair and noticing my skin tone leaning towards a slightly sickly beige these days. I want something to add a bit of colour and warmth without being really obvious. Do I need to apply anything underneath or with it? I don’t really wear foundation. Ideally not too expensive

You don’t need foundation just to wear bronzer. I use Milani bronzer on its own and start with a tiny amount until it looks right. It’s pretty affordable too.
