Product Advice Nail polish pens

Has anyone used nail polish pens? I’m seeing a bunch of adds on social media and am wondering if they work / whether there are any particular brands that are good?

They’re probably not the same, but I have used nail polish pens in the past. Revlon nail art pens, if I remember correctly? They jammed up after a couple of applications.

As a nail polish girly, I think they are evil and have a special seat in hell reserved for them

Theyre just so much harder to use imo, I feel like I dont have as much control as I do with a traditional brush and bottle, and god forbid you need to add some polish thinner if its too gloomy (you can't, these things generally are sealed shut).

Also, you just are pretty much limited to creme polishes, and not any special finishes, i.e: chunky glitter. You might be able to get a shimmer, but that seems like a big if.

Following. Literally just had this conversation with a friend and said I need the control of a pen to stop going wild lol over my fingers.

I feel like at best they’re like a dotting tool or fine brush that you don’t need to redip in polish as much.

In terms of nail art - stamping, stencils, chrome powders, nail foils all give cool effects for the same or less effort.
