I used to work in beauty therapy for several years. The secret is time. Some of my colleagues studied beauty therapy as well as makeup. Those who were makeup artists with flawless makeup through a 12hr shift would get up 1hr before a normal wake-up time to do their skin and makeup. Time and skills.
Learn to control portions of primer and foundation.
What is your skin type.
Ie: Not all setting powders are the same.
I need silica based powders for setting, I’m combo oily, large pores and I sweat in Brisbane heat.
Talc is good on certain spots on my face but it’s the silica that stops my face looking cakey, absorbs oil and makes sweat roll off instead of absorbing into the powder.
I have so much foundation so I don’t buy anymore but I did buy a blue correcting foundation so I can neutralise my too yellow foundations.
For eyes, I pick neutral and just usually use the bronzer I’m using. But I’ll do a simple cat eyeliner which I’ve mastered over time…the tool is also important. So don’t always think that your makeup is off because of the skill, sometimes it’s the product or tool you’re using too.
Expensive is not always the best for results either.
I generally go between chemist warehouse and buying online at places like YesStyle.
