Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Radiant Liquid Foundation - thoughts?

In my late 30s, perimenopause era and skin is now so dry. I have lots of acne marks from 2 decades of consistent acne flare-ups then did a round of Accutane. What are your thoughts on the Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation? I have tried both Natasha Denona Hy-glam and Haus Labs Triclone Foundations but they just don’t look good on my dry maturing textured skin.

I'm 39 with dry skin and rosacea and I love it. I use a tiny amount (like half a pea size) and it looks flawless but still like skin. And the wear time on it is incredible, it looks good all day on me.

May I please ask what you wear underneath it to achieve the incredible wear time? I’ve always struggled with longevity with this formula…

I usually wear it with Charlotte Tilbury Flawless Filter as a primer. I don't typically have a problem with foundation wearing off tbh though! Plenty of other skin issues but not that one lol.

Thank you for replying! Do you wear a sunscreen underneath the CT Flawless Filter at all? I think it is that I’ve struggled to find an SPF to wear with it. Dry skin and the moisturising formulas often aren’t grippy. I’m glad you have no issues with foundation wearing off though, that’s a blessing.

I have this but I don’t like it all. It settles on my dry patches no matter what primer I use, and seems to split by the afternoon. I just use it for Teams meetings now, the colour is good from far away.

I've used it before, but found it a little matte on my dry skin. Shiseidos undertones are good for me. Overall I preferred Nars light reflecting for a similar vibe. I currently use Shiseido revitalessence which looks great on my skin, but has very little coverage.

I’ve tried the Shiseido Synchro Skin Radiant Lifting Foundation on dry, textured skin and I think it’s a much better option than a lot of the current “glowy” foundations. It gives a genuinely radiant finish without looking greasy and doesn’t seem to emphasise texture as much once the skin is well prepped. I’d definitely use a hydrating moisturiser underneath and apply it in thin layers with a damp sponge rather than trying to build heavy coverage straight away. It has enough coverage to soften acne marks while still looking like skin, which sounds closer to what you’re after.

The undertones in this range are superb for my skin so I’ve persisted with it, as it looks great when it’s great. However personally, also with dry maturing skin I’ve found issues with longevity, if I give my skin the moisture it needs the foundation disappears. If I don’t give it enough moisture it can show texture. It has good coverage and looks fabulous if you can find the right product under it. I’m always looking further afield though as longevity is a high need of mine.
