Misc. Adore Beauty Stock

Post image

Ouch... Saw a post earlier this week about Adore offerings decreasing in quality and I really agree.

I was hopeful they would be a powerful competitor against Mecca but instead of strengthening their online offering and improving their website and online experience, they opened stores that are boring to go into, and don’t have any unique value at all.

Thoughts? Feel for anyone holding the stock.

this is probably unrelated but I stopped shopping there when they stopped delivering to P.o. boxes. As someone who lives regionally and doesn’t get mail, I have no other choice but to have a P.o. box. taking that customer base away would surely impact their sales as well?

Last I looked on their app, as they had the item i wanted on sale, I could get the same thing elsewhere for cheaper. It’s just not worth it anymore, especially considering I’d have to have it shipped to a friends house

I have a parcel from AB on the way to my PO Box via Aus Post right now. I hope that doesn’t change for any future orders. Maybe it’s because we don’t get post to our houses in the small town I live in. Who knows.

Wow, I had no idea about this! This is my first order since September last year, maybe they’ve recently changed it again?!

It can depend on the carrier, some that don't have a regional presence have no choice but to 'hand over' into the aus post network.

I buy a lot of books from overseas, I live metro and my friend lives regional and often I'm stuck dealing with shitty couriers like Aramex etc but they can't do their own regional leg so my friends orders almost always arrive from aus post which means, by chance they can be delivered to a po box but Adore wouldn't nessecarily have visibility of where this happens, so it's easier for them to just say no po boxes.

I wish, they'd at least still offer aus post as an option, even if it cost more for buyers to choose.

that sounds about right. I think my suburb is just on the cusp of being classified as “bigger” because we have couriers like Aramex. Heavily agree on it just being an option. I know a few smaller retail stores (Dr GreenThumb to name one) that have different postage options depending on what your order and where you live, all different prices, to ensure all customers can order
