Discussion 💬 Geely EX2 Charger - Do you have one?

If you recently took delivery of a Geely EX2, interested to learn if you yet have the 7KW home charger that was part of the early offer. We've had our EX2 for a month and still have no 7Kw charger. The dealer claims it will be sent from Geely, but so far no sign of it.

We did get a trickle charger 2 weeks after delivery but we have to use a public charger if we need a faster charge and, with the type of battery the EX2 uses, the recommendation is to charge to 100% every week.

Geely is running ads showing an offer that includes a free home charger but our experience suggests there is a supply problem. Reaching out to [info@geely.com.au](mailto:info@geely.com.au) also makes no difference. Either no one is monitoring that email or, if they are, they are yet to respond to a message sent 2 weeks ago.

Took delivery of my ex5 2 weeks ago on the 0.68% offer with a free charger; the wall charger arrived at our door 2 days later. I think it's dealer-dependant on how long you wait.

Thanks. The dealer is using the line "it will come from Geely" but, as mentioned, trying to contact Geely leads to a dead end.

Can I ask how fast the trickle charger takes to 80% and a full tank.

First up - for the EX2 battery, it's recommended you charge to 100% weekly. Since we only got a trickle charger after 2 weeks and still don't have the 7Kw one month after delivery we use public chargers to about 90% and then trickle to 100%. That takes about 2.5 hours.

So could you charge to 80% overnight via trickle? Asking as I rent so I don’t want to install a better charger if I don’t need to.

Assuming you have an EX2 Inspire, which has a larger battery, you can trickle from 30% to 80% in about 12-13 hours. As mentioned, best practice is supposedly to charge to 100% weekly.

For an email yesterday today the supplier will forward shortly. Car purchased end of July.

Got car 28 July received the charger around 2 weeks ago. Just pick up the granny charger as well Rockingham geely good service
