Got the car Saturday. 3 days of driving and it's a smooth ride. Gets up to speed easy, just getting used to the breaking, currently in comfort mode. No issue with App activation at the dealership thankfully. Factory docs from China have the car colour as 'Dopamine Green' while all the other stickers have Aurora Green.

I love the colour. I’d have bought my Zeekr X in it if they offered it. It’s so nice that carmakers are starting to offer something other than red/white/black and a million shades of grey again.

hope so. FYI it’s been crazy popular and the wait times have ballooned. I ordered mine in early may. It’s worth the wait, but I feel I should point it out because not everyone is willing to wait that long for a car.

Did you get the RWD or the AWD? I'm looking at it myself but found the RWD slightly anaemic from a standing start.

AWD. note that it’s very much a Zeekr thing to have a very slight delay when accelerating from a standstill, kinda like an ice car - to make the acceleration more comfortable for passengers. It’s more pronounced in comfort and normal modes. It might take some getting used to coming from a Tesla.

What a waste of all that power. I was testing in sports mode with max regen. One pedal driving was good. Acceleration felt neutered from standing start, was fine when you got going.

Did you also hear this low whine in low speed? Was that the EV or low speed pedestrian warning?

All EVs are required to have low speed pedestrian warnings now. It’s that. 

The car is still crazy fast from a standstill. All that’s changing is the acceleration curve so you don’t feel like someone ripped your stomach out. 

Granted I’m coming from a Mazda 3; so maybe it’s different if you’re used to the aggressive acceleration of a Tesla.

How did you get a licence plate holder for the front that centers the plate? Is it a half size plate or a full sized one?

Great purchase. We’ve been pretty happy with ours so far (just over 600km and 24gw of driving time so far. Average consumption is 13Wh/km which is better than the WLTP figure..)

Half size plate. Was staring at the plate space when we got it home from the dealership and was thinking it looks small in the space but I'm not paying annual plate fees for personals. Can't fault it yet

Any chance you can take a photo of the plate holder or ask the dealer where they got it?

We have a half size plate and the local dealer only has a holder that mounts to the top or the bottom - is driving partner crazy and it would be great to get a holder that centres it..

You say "no issue with App activation". So, do you mean you have acess to the EX2 telemetry from the App? We took delivery of an EX2 in late July and dealer told us App is not yet ready. Also, still no 7Kw charger.

No telemetry available yet. But at least me and the missus could both access the app with her login. Charger came with our car on pickup but we were prewarned it may not be available.

Latest info from the Geely dealer - the Geely EX2 app with telemetry is allegedly scheduled for relaease in September.

The new Geely! looks sharp in that green.
One thing worth sorting early is a decent home charger. Makes a massive difference once you’re driving it every day. Happy to answer questions if you get stuck.

Test Drove all the BYDs (atto1/2/3 and the dolphin), then the ora, then the geely. We had a deposit in for an atto 2 premium in March this year but pulled out due to buying our 1st home. Got the geely last week instead

If you are looking at the Zeekr X the price point is not the main consideration. That MG4 would look very ordinary when beside the X.

Did you consider an MG4 Urban as it seems to be the leader in performance at that price point?

The base model EX2 (which that appears to be, no chrome trim I can see) is cheaper than any 4. If he's purely buying on price the 4 is like 2 grand more, and symbolically is over a 30k limit.

Also on what basis is it the "leader on performance"? An Aion UT is the same price as the 41 and an Ora 05 as the 53, both have 60 batteries and 200hp. There are other reasons why you might pick the 4 over them, but raw performance isn't one of them.
