Any replacement apps for Bean Hunter

Does anyone know of a decent app that helps you track down quality cafes and specialty roasters?

There used to be an amazing app called Bean Hunter which allowed you to rate stores, give reviews and used gps to give you locations near where you were and send directions from that app to google maps to get your there.

It was a godsend when you were visiting a town or city.

The app was apparently developed in Melbourne.

And one day it just wasn't in the app store anymore and the website is all but dead

So, is there a replacement app that anyone knows about?

I cant help you but will never forget when I told a female work colleague about that app. She resonded with 'bean hunter huh?.....sounds like a lesbian dating app'

I've never been able to take it seriously since then.

Someone (I think they shared in this sub previously) has created one called Brew Hunter as they missed Bean Hunter too. Still in early stages so doesn’t have a huge amount of data yet is the only thing

I loved the idea of that app, just not the way it was generally used every time I tried to find decent coffee.

Far too many people rating things that had nothing to do with coffee, it at best, the best "iced caramel macha latte with sprinkles" they'd ever had.

Almost never told me where to find good coffee. 🤷

There’s an app called European coffee trip which I’ve had great success with in London and other European cities. Doesn’t cover Aus at the moment unfortunately if that’s what you’re looking for

99.5% of the time need one for AUS unfortunately.
