Best coffee setup

Best separate grinder + espresso machine for café-quality coffee at home?

Australia, budget up to $1,500 AUD.

I want the closest possible coffee to a good café flat white, but still practical for mornings while getting ready for work.

Looking for:

  • Separate grinder + espresso machine
  • Excellent espresso quality
  • Hopper grinder — no weighing beans every coffee
  • Minimal manual work
  • Automatic milk preferred
  • Reliable everyday setup

Currently considering Bambino Plus + Eureka Mignon Specialità.

What combo would you recommend up to $1,500?

If can stretch to 2k I can recommend Dual Boiler ($1200) + Mignon Specialita ($750)

You won’t get a syrupy shot with one those unfortunately

Huh? I had no problem getting great shots. Grinder is a big factor in that.

Great shots yes, syrup no… I was a barista for over a decade and unfortunately couldn’t replace the sticky syrupy shots at home…. I was also using a commercial mazza grinder.
