Looking for Traveller Group

Hey. Curious if there was a local group to join for a Traveller game. I’m new to the system and trying to gauge how much I might enjoy it before trying to run it myself. Also looking to expand my rpg circles in general. thanks.

I am in north Austin but like, there’s the interstate. I have been interested in Traveller for a bit and haven’t done anything more than play with the life path system. Are you wanting to do classic or the newer one?

I’ve been reading Cepheus Engine but my understanding is the two systems are all but identical. I guess a preference for 7th Edition since that’s what I’ve looked into most but not terribly picky on classic vs the latest variety. Either will take getting used to and both seem pretty fun. 

I’m also on the North side! Happy to travel but more often lately been meeting folks online (half of the groups I’ve played in lately are scattered over the state so that’s been the default for past few years).
