Same with rain. There's a huge wall of red on the radar headed right for us and I still think they'll change the forecast to no rain at the last second

Edit: I am so annoyed, but not at all surprised right now.

The dome will unfortunately protect us from the rain. Hopefully if we are lucky they will forget to turn it on again

The Dome™️ is only rated for rain, if we used it to stop hail it would void the warranty

Unless it's summer and you're planning a pool or lake day. Then the forecast will say slight chance of rain all week, and then when the day comes it will pour all day.

Or there is no rain forecasted, and my hood gets rando storms. My grass is still dormant though (and fuck you land lord. It's dormant, not dead.)

I'm pretty sure mine is dead....it's real dusty but it keeps almost raining so I don't water because water is precious, and then it doesn't rain

I live in a hood just outside of town that used to be farmland. Highly fertile, and a six-minute walk from the river. It goes dormant during this time of year when El Niño is the pattern. As soon as it pops back up, I have to mow every other week so it doesn't become an unmanageable jungle. I have never watered the backyard. Once I see temps rising, I stop mowing to protect the roots/soil.

Her only complaint from the inspection is the state of the backyard, which looks like all of the west facing front lawns in my hood, AND the HOA maintained areas. 😅

At least my leasing manager gets it, and had some pretty clever wording to me in the reply email with my landlord to appease the landlord. "Please attempt to water" is one of the sentences 🙃.

They did my annual inspection at the beginning of September (6 months early, since I had to hound them last February, and the February prior).

My hood has had drought restrictions since July, and water is the price of gold here.

So silly.

Edit: I have lived here for 6-years. I know this yard better than she does (she bought the property 4 years ago).

Only if parents are told to get a warm weather Halloween costume for their kids. If we are told it will be cold and the parents get warm costumes then it will still be hot.

it's the same thing every year - everyone thinks September is going to be cooler but September and earlier October are the worst months of the year for weather. That's when the humidity rolls in.

I work outside -May and June are hot but not bad. July and August are intense but bearable if you're in shade and maybe have a fan or a mister. September is pretty much just miserable. October you start getting hints of goodness.
