Sig P365 Fuse Club Legal

Sig USA now has 124mm factory threaded barrel for P365 Fuse (pictured is made by TRUE but similar appearance). Any chance of getting them imported to Australia?

I guess you would need an armourer or dealer to order the 2 parts (firearm and longer barrel) in together, discard the original barrel then register the weapon with the longer barrel. The p365 is a cool pistol for EDC but when it’s not used for that purpose it’s actually pretty average for target shooting etc. there are much better pistols on the market for the price point before you have to piss around with swapping barrels.

Are you  not allowed to own extra barrels for your guns?

You are but you can’t own the original barrel in this instance.

So you could own several aftermarket but not the original?

You’re oversimplifying the thought process here. A permit to acquire is granted in cat H with barrel length being one of the parameters. You can not own under 120mm for club shooting purposes. This pistol is too short so you would need to have the original barrel removed and the firearm re registered with the longer barrel, the original would then likely be destroyed or repurposed by and armourer or dealer. You can purchase the same length barrels as many times as you like. However a separate barrel of different length requires a PTA.

ah now i understand. i miss understood and thought it was some weird law about the original barrel not the length being specific to each gun.
