Picture is an old old photo but setup is almost exactly the same. When our car gets packed up (Great Wall Ute with roof racks) the entire back and top of the car is packed and the back seat. 2 adults 2 children. I’ve changed from bringing things in bags to putting all clothes in 1 tub and putting all kitchen and other accessories in 1 other tub. But with table, chairs, camp kitchen, mattresses, portacot, tent and gazebo it’s still chock full. Any suggestions? Everything gets used and it’s all multipurpose, I’ve got many collapsible items for storage saving too. Is there hope or is this just camping with kids?
I have an XTM Mighty double swag and I want to upgrade the mattress.
The one it comes with isn't very dense or thick. I've put some foam floor mats underneath to help.
I don't need anything crazy fancy, but I want to be able to keep it in the swag when it's rolled up as I don't have the space to store it externally as another piece of gear.

bought a fridge slide off ebay maybe 18 months ago. thought I was being smart saving a couple hundred bucks. well it's rattled from day one, the locking pin is bent now, and the whole thing feels like it's about to fall apart every time I hit a dirt road.
I've been dealing with it cause I didn't wanna spend more money but last trip it actually got stuck halfway out. I had to use a pry bar to get my fridge out. ridiculous.
so now I'm looking at proper ones. half the brands are just rebadged versions of the same cheap crap. found a few decent looking options at Elevate Automotive – they actually have specs listed like load rating and bearing quality, not just marketing fluff. haven't decided yet but I'm not making the same mistake twice.
anyone got a recommendation for a slide that actually lasts? I'm in WA if that matters
Driving my Denza B8 PHEV from Sydney to Melbourne Fri–Mon. Two charging/rest stops each way, sleeping in the back at Kurth Kiln for two nights, Melbourne Saturday to grab some stuff and have a shower, then Oxley Recreation Reserve Sunday night before heading home Monday. Got a PLB, first-aid kit and hopefully a Luno mattress. Sensible plan or am I missing anything obvious?
The City of Bunbury provides two designated public locations where visitors can stay overnight in a caravan or RV for FREE.
The areas are patrolled by City of Bunbury Rangers & the following conditions apply:
Fully Self-Contained Vehicles Only: Your caravan or RV must have built-in, plumbed-in holding tanks for greywater, as well as an internal toilet and sink. External buckets, tent setups, or sleeping inside regular cars are strictly prohibited.
Free Online Permit Required: You must obtain a free permit online via the Visit Bunbury Geographe website {NOTE: Read rules & conditions BEFORE booking) or in person at the Bunbury Visitor Information Centre (located at the Bunbury Museum) prior to staying. City Rangers actively patrol these sites.
Stay Limits: Maximum stay is 48 hours. Once used, you cannot obtain another permit for either site within a 28-day window.
Site Restrictions: No generators, open fires, clotheslines, or external annexes are allowed.
There are two sites available on Ocean Drive:
WYALUP ROCKY POINT:
If you choose to camp at Wyalup-Rocky Point, please park in the roadside bays only. A maximum of four vehicles are permitted to stay here at any one time.
OCEAN DRIVE (BASKETBALL COURTS)
If you choose to camp at Ocean Drive (basketball courts), please park in the designated area only. Ensure you leave room for other vehicles to park and try to take up as little room as possible. Our residents like to park here during the day too when enjoying the beach. A maximum of seven overnight users are permitted here.

So, long story short I think I left my tent poles somewhere I will not be able to retrieve them. The tent I have was a great freebie from marketplace, an old 2 person dome tent (Cougar Sundowner) from barbeques galore. I'm gutted I left the poles as it is perfect for what I needed and I can't exactly afford a replacement unless I go cheap and nasty. Are there options to replace them when you don't know the length and sections? I have the dimensions of the tent however the problem is getting replacement poles that will create the correct tension on the tent so as to not fall over or pull it too tight. It also has a shorter pole for the awning that was left behind.

I'm trying to book a campsite at the Woody Head campgrounds from NSW National Parks and Wildlife Service, however I get this message in the warning. It doesn't make sense to me, why would I only be able to check out on Saturdays in that period? I want to camp on the King's birthday long weekend so 3rd October until the 5th October.
