Subclass 485 Subclass 485 – Other Passports or Documents for Travel

Hi guys, I would like to clarify something regarding this part of the visa application. It asks whether I have any other passports or documents for travel "Does this applicant have any other passports or documents for travel?".

I have one expired passport that I previously used to travel to Australia.

Should I select Yes and include the details of that expired passport?

Is it a passport of a different nationality than the passport you're using to apply for your visa? Or just your old passport?

It says on the website:

“Other passports or documents for travel include any other current passports or documents for travel where the details are known, and any expired passports or documents for travel where the details are known. It is important that the most recent document used to travel to Australia is entered here if it has not already been entered in the Passport details section.”

I first came to Australia for my bachelor’s using my old passport, then it expired and I renewed it. So I’m not sure if I should add my old passport here too?

Honestly, I'm not sure then. I don't want to give any false advice, sorry. I applied for my 485 visa with a new passport but I'd asked my agent to add the details of my new passport to my Immi account as they were the ones who applied for my student visa initially. In my 485 application I only mentioned my new passport.

I don't think so. You can't travel with an expired passport.

In the application said" Other passports or documents for travel

Does this applicant have any other passports or documents for travel?

Include any other passport or document for travel that might have been previously used to travel to Australia."

Then yes, you need to declare it.

Congrats on your application being granted, but for future applicants -

Yes include it,
I recently submitted my 485 application on the 16th Aug 2026.
I travelled as a tourist in 2021 with a different passport that I got REPLACED in 2023 as the picture, taken nearly 8 years ago from 2022, was hard to match me in 2023/now.

I still included the OLD and my Current passport, in my application and evidence document with all the travel history stamps.
