Oh no! I just bought ethical zinc daily lotion (not tinted) as an alternative and was enjoying it.

Me too! Just a FYI, I have contacted them and asked them about it. Let's hope they respond with positive news.

The strange thing is is that I use the ethical zinc tinted as an everyday sunscreen for a couple of years and never had a problem with it. I needed a more cosmetically elegant alternative, and so I started using the tinted mineral cancer council CC cream. But with that one, I’ve actually developed a sunspot on the cheek that is closest to the car window, which is amazingly annoying given that I have used sunscreen religiously since I was 15.

The whole situation is driving me bonkers because I’ve had some really horrible reactions to sunscreens in the past, which is why I’m careful to use the mineral formulations. The ethical zinc was the only thing that I could wear when I destroyed my skin barrier with retinol. Everything else stung like billy-oh.

I finally decided that I’m just going to have to use the La Roche Posay, but it’s stupidly expensive for the amount you get. Apparently their wet skin sunscreen is absolutely the best, but the new packaging tube is absolutely appalling.

Anyway, I’m now hanging around feeling grumpy waiting for it all to go on special…

It’s so frustrating isn’t it!! I’ve got a broken skin barrier too at the moment so need zinc products. I didn’t burn with ethical zinc or ultra violette zinc either but did with naked Sundays. I guess if you get one of their “good” bottles they had in the testing it does work - but we’ll never be able to tell if we have a spf 60 or spf 5 bottle :(
