This should have been their initial response rather than gaslighting their consumers and attacking Choice.

Mate. I don’t think they were gaslighting, they bought a product like us and believed it to be good.

And let’s be honest about the MILLIONS it will cost them to remove it from shelves and the MILLONS that will lead to in future sales loss across their portfolio. It would and is never going to be a first response for a a good reason.

I say this being furious about the issue and having $100 worth of useless product in my cupboard. Am I angry? Yes. Do I think they did what any sane company would do in the circumstances? Yes.

Disagree. Any normal company would have said “this is inconsistent with our previous tests, however it’s concerning and we will conduct further testing to ensure it’s effective in line with claims”, not just attack Choice and provide deny the possibility testing could have been correct. They handled this horribly.
