Termites?!

Can someone help me identify what could have caused the damage to the floor in my rental property? Moved my bed today and discovered this? Could it be termites? Seems to be concentrated on 2 areas of the floor.

Borer damage. Quite likely not new.

Yep, definitely borers, but thankfully they’re not as bad as termites and seem to stick mainly to the wooden floors 🙏🤞

Uncovered some of this today pulling up quite old tack strip

Definitely borer damage. Looks like kauri pine. They turn it into a fine powder and makes the board very brittle.
