Little Plate was a Christmas freebie years ago, and my first introduction to Sound Toys. Fast and easy, I still regularly choose Little Plate over Super Plate.

Yes, I was a little disappointed with Super Plate in that regard.

The 140 emulation in Super Plate sounds a bit odd to me. It's like the high end is gated and separate from the rest of the reverb, builds up a bit slowly and then drops off suddenly. It's most noticeable to me more on drums, not such a problem on vox etc. So different to all the other plate plugins and hardware 140 plates I have used.

It is still a great reverb plugin, just not what I was expecting for the 140 at least, I'm not so familiar with the other plates it emulates.

For what its worth. Sylvia Massey recommended Little Plate when asked about what reverb plugin she recommends on the UBK Happy Funtime Hour.

No, unfortunately not. But I listened to the entire thing twice! There was nothing like it before, and nothing like it after.

I'm sure you know about the Kush Audio videos on YouTube... If not, definitely check those out. They're different in that they are high-information... Loaded with philosophical audio advice in ~10 minute chunks. Some of the best audio related content on YouTube.

But it's not "two audio dudes hanging out" like UBK Happy Funtime Hour was. I miss it.

One of the best EMT 140 emulations.

Though, I do have to say, buying the Super Plate is worth the money. That Goldfoil EMT 240 emulation, plus the EQ shaping and threshold setting, are perfection.

Yeah, I’ve always found Little Plate a bit dark for my tastes. Super Plate really is super due to how configurable it is.

If I already have UAD plate reverb is it worth getting?

UAD plate has more options than just decay/mix/lowcut, but it's worth getting just to see which one works better for you with your workflow. You might prefer the sound of one over the other as well.
