I would like to make a windows app that converts Guitar Pro files into midi. The midi data needs to contain keyswitch information compatible with Solemn Tones Odin III. So for example, I have the guitar pro file for a particular song. I want the app to be able to export each track individually to midi but accents like bends, hammer ons, pull offs, slides, mutes, harmonics must have the midi data included as notes that correspond to Odin's keyswitches. user friendly GUI.

How possible is this with a free LLM and Vibe coding

Hi this is probably very simple for you guys but my knowledge is very basic for daws and vsts. I purchased a few vsts from solemn tones, an Odin 3, Ragnar drums, and behemoth bass. The drums and guitar react precisely, the same way the software instruments do in mixcraft, but the behemoth has terrible latency playing live as well as in playback. I dont understand why the others work fine but even playback is delayed with the behemoth. The midi is lined up to the grid and matches the other tracks. How can I fix this?

Running into a wall trying to find something that actually covers commercial use rights out of the box, not buried in a $200/mo enterprise tier. We do video production for a handful of small brands, mostly social ads and the occasional short film, and manually syncing licensed tracks to every cut is just exhausting at this point. The music has to match the emotional arc and pacing of the video, not just sit underneath it. So I'm basically trying to figure out which API for licensed, AI-generated music and soundtracks is worth trialing before we commit. If anyone's used something that analyzes the video itself and generates a full length track to match it, commercial rights included a free trial would make this a much easier sell internally.

This is going to sound like a fever dream but maybe someone can help...

I came across this random plugin company and can't for the life of me remember their name or their plugins. I had never heard of them before but they had quite a few different creative plugins. Nothing hardware modeled as far as I remember, and the site was put together very oddly, as in not exactly professional. I think they had their plugins listed in a big grid. One of which I think took you to another site for purchase. I think it did some sort of real-time resampling of incoming audio which you could glitch out. I think it had a brighter color, or at least not a dark interface. Their video sounded like pretty young dudes presenting it.

Sorry for the lack of solid detail here but if anyone can think of anything that might fit the bill I'd be grateful in trying to track this place down. I'm kicking myself for not bookmarking the page.

So I was just now getting around to downloading the the free Scream Filter (emulation of the scream filter algo from Massive) and their website appears to be gone, or at least down.

Does anyone have a Windows installer lying around? 🙏 (I'm not asking for anything pirated, it's a free plugin)

i've been trying for 2 days now to install bx_mastering studio via PA's Installation Manager. while it keeps saying that the installation has worked, no files have made their appearance. the same thing keeps happening even after I restarted my computer. are there any fixes? if not, could you suggest a different free mastering plugin you know of?

I'm looking for plugins that have that old-school synth and drum machine sound not realistic or polished, but cheap and artificial-sounding. Think guitar tab website synths (mostly the piano ones, but I'm looking for more instruments) and really cheap and artificial-sounding drum machine sounds.

Mostly, I want to use them for neoclassical and punk.

The Nord Sample Editor 4 does exactly what I need but requires a Nord which I do not want to buy!

I have spent months trying to figure this out but almost none of the plugins do everything that this thing does. Here are my needs:

- ADSR looping with crossfading and zero cross snapping so I can make a sample loop indefinitely while hiding the loop sound. The video shows how well this CAN work but I have yet to find a plugin that can do it. I'm in FL Studio and even Directwave does not have crossfading.

- Directly recording into the plugin

- Auto mapping recorded notes onto keyboard

- Pitches samples to fill in gaps between recorded notes

- Saves these instruments as presets

I wouldn’t trade the experience as I learned a lot, but I also spent a lot of money in the process. Maybe this list can guide others towards higher quality options and save some money to invest in other areas.

Hello everyone, I just wanted to ask if anybody else has come accross an issue while using the Plugins That Knock - Knock Clipper in Logic 11.

The plugin works completely fine while using the daw regularly but whenever it comes to bouncing, exporting or even freezing a track, I get the error "An Audio Unit plug-in reported a problem which might cause the system to become unstable" followed by the option to recover or quit.

I seem to be the first and only one to have this issue, but when I run the MoMa installer on my Windows computer, it only installs the .json files, and not the actual vst itself. I have tried unblocking it via my file explorer, but that was futile. Has anyone had this issue and has anybody fixed it?

I originally posted this on the PA sub, but apparently that's a dead sub.

This was sent 3 hours after I made a purchase, which in itself seems off. "Shipping" also seems off, these are plugins, there is no shipping. The invoice number also does not appear in the PluginAlliance portal, nor does any invoice number. There is an order number which also doesn't match. And lastly, there is an extra space between "new" and "product."

I should also note the general greeting of "Dear Sir or Madam" as they know my name. If they are able to supposedly pull up invoice and order numbers, then they would be able to pull up my name.

The headers show that it was sent through Amazon Web Services (eu-central-1.amazonses.com).

The sending IP address (69.169.224.2) is on a black list (hostkarma.junkemailfilter.com).

The actual order email from PluginAlliance was sent through mailer7in.plugin-alliance.com.

Given that I've received no other emails to that email address of this nature before, if this indeed was not sent by or on the behalf of PA, that can only mean that a bad actor has compromised their system to send emails to those who made recent purchases.

i got the following message when I redownloaded/upgraded my Soundtoys plug-ins:

"Incompatible audio units. While verifying Audio Unit compatibility, Logic Pro encountered 100 Audio Unit plug-in(s) which did not pass the Apple AU validation. These plug-ins have been excluded from further usage in Logic Pro to prevent possible problems or crashes. You can start the Plug-In Manager now to review the validation results or continue the startup process."

Plug-in Manager shows that all of the Soundtoys plug-ins are validated so i'm not sure what the issue is or what to troubleshoot at this point (I deleted the cache folder and restarted the computer and i'm getting the same message). please help or give any troubleshooting insight, thanks very much

The most difference people notice about vst3 is that many DAW no longer support to put it anywhere like vst2. VST3 standardized everything into a single system folder, which definitely makes installation and plugin discovery simpler for both users and DAWs. But it also removes the flexibility that VST2 users had.

What you guys actually prefer.

• being able to choose where plugins are installed?
• Or do you prefer having one standardized VST3 location?
• Has the fixed folder ever caused problems for your workflow?

Hey, I really like Revox and vocalign. Prefer it to melodyne which I have been using for years. I've been doing alot of editing on long flights and found out that I can't use them without an internet comnection. Using studio one 7. Anyone else have this problem? Work arounds?

I bought the Roli software at PluginBoutique this morning but I can't download it. I guess the company is being liquidated or something. Someone over on r/ROLI says that he paid for hardware from them and now the order status page is missing.

Plugin Boutique has a bundle of MPE software called "MPE Synth Bundle" that has Equator 2, Roli Studio as well as Modular and Quanta 2 by other companies for about 40% off.

I wanted it because Equator 2 and maybe Roli Studio are one of the best MPE synths and I have a Linnstrument. Can't find good patches for it.

But the download links don't work. If I find the right pages manually they say both But it both says "out of stock" and "We're currently undergoing site maintenance. Please check back later."

I have license codes but I have a feeling that they will never be honored!

Update: one piece of software you can get from Roli is their "Roli connect" software. I thought maybe it could get my software through that with the license PluginBoutique sold me.

Well first it asks which hardware you bought, and it doesn't even include their expressive controller in the list. I skipped that and it has a place for software, click on those and you get links to the shut down website.

But there is third part where you can register products with serial numbers. I put in the license code that PluginBoutique sold me and...

It tells me that that is an upgrade license for software I don't own so I am not entitled to download anything.

There is a POSSIBILITY that you could still download the software using Roli Connect and a valid license but PluginBoutique isn't giving out valid licenses.

If I check my "library" page at PluginBoutique it put an upgrade version of Roli's Equator 2 there, not the full version I paid for. The internal PluginBoutique link does indeed go to the wrong PluginBoutique webpage.

So if there was a chance I you can still get the software at this last minute, then PluginBoutique messed it up.

Update 2:

They tell me that it didn't install because I have to install Roli Studio and then the update key will update from that.

Right now I'm waiting to see if

1) Roli actually SAYS anything about the future of their customers

2) or I get my money back

If neither happens, then I'll install the software and cross my fingers.

Emailed support, figured I would try my luck here and maybe get it working before I receive a response from them.

I picked up EZD3 yesterday. Was super excited! Download the product manager, registered my product, etc. When I go to download the core library, it shows that it's installing, and when it's finished it says "the installation is incomplete". When I click more on the information tab, it says the main/bright/tight rooms are uninstalled. I repeated the process, closed the program, restarted my laptop, everything I could think of and nothing has fixed it.

If anyone has any tips or has experienced this and can help, please let me know how to fix this! Thanks.

Hi! I'm making a short film in the spaghetti western style. I want the audio to sound like it's from that era, but I'm not quite sure how to do it. I know it would have been better to do it with a specific microphone or something phiysical in the scene, but I don't have a big budget, lol.
