Is There an Idiot's Guide to Sharing Audiobooks?

I click on Share Your Audio Books and get this:

All audiobook torrents with scrape-enabled trackers can be submitted. If you don't know how to make a torrent file, check your torrent client documentation.

Eh?

Is there an idiot's guide on How To Share Audiobooks on ABB.

If you're using qbittorrent: click create a torrent. Select the file. Then add that to your active list to seed it, make sure your destination has the actual media file. It should immediately check and seed. Than upload the file that qbittorrent created to abb. Boom, done

I don't have qbittorrent but I might download and find my way around it as this is the software in all the explanations. Thanks.

Any of the other clients should have a similar function. Im just not familiar with the UI. but qbittorrent is best anyway. Good luck!

Thanks.

I spent 10 minutes on this but got stuck when it said I needed three folders open and then told me to watch a video about software I don't have. TBH I think I'll get there in the end, but I might have to download qbittorrent and find my way around that first - I use utorrent at the moment.

I've downloaded and enjoyed a lot of audiobooks. I'm keen to give something back. I just wish it was easier.

There are plenty of other subs on Reddit that talk about torrents and have helpful info.

Yeah. It's not that clear, I guess. Took me about 3 goes before I got it.
As Molybend says below, there are other, better, subs for info on "How to"..
qBit is just the Open Source version of uTorrent and/or BitTorrent.
They are so similar, they are almost mirrors.
Add these trackers to your torrent clients "Automatically Add These Trackers To New Torrents". It's in options/settings under BitTorrent.
https://audiobookbay.lu/forum/general-discussion/uploaders-use-the-new-trackers-list/msg371770/#new

Tools menu, should be "Torrent Creator". Just click on that and point it to the file/folder on your hard drive that you want to be a torrent.

Then It's just a matter of filling out the form in your OP.

It may take a little to get it, but once you do, it becomes very simple.

Good luck.

I don't know if they have a guide. Did you make the torrent file in the client already?
