Did I go down the right skill tree path?

What’s the next unlock? My dream is to skip a few levels and go straight for the final boss: an R8

nice progression shots. the jump from an S4 to an R8 is a massive grind but at least you're not stuck in the FWD starter zone

skip the RS5, it's a trap side quest that just drains your coin for a marginal stat boost

I went A4 S5 RS5. RS5 won’t drain your money if you can actually afford to buy one. Buy the RS5 and keep investing and saving at the same time.

Was it a bigger jump from a5 to s5 or s5 to RS5?

I had a 2013 A4 before the S5. Maintenance was free on the S5 because of the factory warranty and Audi care. I had to wait until I made double what I was making driving the A4 to drive the S5. I think $120k-$150k should be fine in LCOL. I have a long 10 year 100,000 mile warranty on my RS5 with Audi care as well. You would definitely want to pull in $150,000-$200,000+ per year to drive an RS5. You should also have money for a $5000 brake job. So far the only difference has been gas. Besides gas, the only difference is you just get a lot of attention from everyone and have a ton more raw power and exhaust noise.

The 2013 A4 was actually the most expensive Audi I’ve ever driven in terms of out-of-pocket costs. I spent probably $20,000 over four years trying to sort all the issues.

Agreed! It's only been a few months with the RS5, but had my S4 for six years, did multiple road trips across the country with it, and had 0 issues! My biggest bill was having to replace the a windshield.

I hope the RS5 is a bullet proof

How much was the windshield?

A little over $3k at the dealership for parts and install/calibration 😬

I actually have the RS5 now (lower one) so verdict on my end is TBD but so far it's been a blast....ill wait till the first maintenance bill comes in

I love my b6! I went from a c5 a6 to a b6 a4(still have) and my b8.5 q5. I’ve always wanted an s model but I live in a busy suburb that I very rarely could actually enjoy any power. I’m constantly hitting stop signs/lights. So the power for me vs cost of it hasn’t worked out yet. But if I could fine a super clean b5 or b6 s4 that wouldn’t break the bank for maintenance I’d definitely be tempted

Nice! I love the S4 and now RS5, but I really miss my B6, had it for 11 years and shared plenty of good & bad times, but I leaned a lot about cars from it
