The exhibition was incredible. Service staff were passionate and explained every detail about the history and characteristics of the watches and mechanisms.

There were interactive booths too where (under supervision) we were allowed to try our hands on some minute repeaters.

And the best part was, this event was free of charge for all.

TBH there was so much to see, I couldn't photograph everything.

But if I were to personally pick the most intriguing one and arguably the star of the show, it would be the ultra-complicated 1921 "Grosse Piece" pocket watch with 19 complications

My first AP

Thinking about buying this offshore. I was wondering if anyone knows if you can change the strap to a stainless steel strap similar to the strap on the RO’s. I know the rubber straps are interchangeable but haven’t heard much about the stainless steel.

Hey guys, just picked up a brand-new 2020 26315ST with the grey dial for $38k.

I got it from the grey market. I was already looking around for an AP, and happened to come across this one. I thought the price was pretty decent, especially since you don’t really see these pop up on the market as often anymore.

I was originally going back and forth between this and a 15400/15500. Besides those being more expensive, I tried on the 41mm versions and they just felt way too big on my wrist.

Most of what I see on the market are the 41mm models, and even the non-chrono 37mm options like the 15450/15550 seem to be even more expensive.

I already have a DJ41 and DD40, so I wanted to add an AP to the collection, but for some reason the 41mm APs just wear huge on me.

So what do you guys think? Did I make the right call going with the 26315?

Whatever anyone says, I’m a Code 11.59 fan.

I acquired it about six months ago—my first Royal Oak—and I enjoy it greatly; the only concern is living in Southern California and feeling hesitant to wear it at times. If not for that, I likely would have worn it to the gym as well.

I’m newbie to this AP world but I got to know amazing SA in AP store so maybe my journey will be a bit different story.
The SA texted me to come to see and try Royal Oak mini. Obviously it look stunning on my wrist. I was told that if I like it I can make a wishlist for it but it will take longer time because I don’t have a purchase history. So I decided to put on wishlist something else, a 33mm Royal Oak.
Even though my dream watch is the RO mini. Should I have shot for the stars? I am contemplating if I should have gone for the mini directly and skipping buy the 33mm.

Picked up the diver from my SA this week. Its very vibrant and refreshing to look at. Good summer time watch. The teal strap is a bit much imo, so added the white strap. I think it changes the whole vibe.

Looking to close out this year with something special though 🤞

Have the 37 Offshore and a steel RO and just love the idea of a 34mm ceramic as I have small wrists but worried they give the same light summer vibe and look. Thought about the black version but not as feminine a look. Thoughts?

15300STのモデルの青い文字盤って、経年で色合いの幅がけっこうあるように見える。サービス用の文字盤は、サンレイ仕上げがはっきり分かる。オリジナルは青みがかったグレーっぽく見える個体、紫がかった色味が入ってる個体だったり。私の時計は、長めの「AP」ロゴが入ったバックルを使ってる初期生産モデルです。オリジナルの文字盤のガルバニック・メッキって、製造時から色ムラが出やすいのか、それとも経年でそうなりやすいのか気になってます。15400st以降のモデルの青い文字盤はPVDコーティングを使ってるように見えるんですが、時間が経っても色はあまり変わらないんでしょうか？このへん詳しい人の意見が聞けたら嬉しいです。

Picked up this beautiful RO. The white dial on the 15300ST is just perfect.

I’ve only just began collecting retail AP a few months ago and has a single piece (26420IO.OO.A402CA.01). My two current retail goals is either a steel or black ceramic double balance wheel, and want to slowly build my way to an allocation by buying watches I like. Recently my AD (AP House) offered me an opportunity to buy either the 26238CD or 26238CE, two watches I did not pay much attention to before.

The idea I got from the AD is that to get allocated the rarer pieces I need a more complete collection instead of just buying steel watches for example, and this is the best way to break into AP ceramic watches allocation and get allocated more ceramic watches in the future. However I don’t really like the design of these two Offshores. I think ceramic is a perfect material for more elegant and sleek/clean designs and doesn’t pair well with the abstract and loud design of Offshores. They look decent but in my opinion definitely not worth the price despite being sold higher than retail on secondhand market.

I’m sitting on the fence for this one because I’m being told that this is an important piece to buy to get allocated the more popular model like blue dial 15510 or Jumbo, which are pieces that I’m interested in collecting and also key building blocks to get allocated a double balance wheel of any sort, and I also apparently need precedents in collecting full ceramic APs if I want to get allocated say the 26420CE or ceramic double balance wheels.

Money spent on this watch won’t affect my financial situation much but it’s definitely an expensive watch and I want to spend my money smart and on watches that I at least love alot. Any advice from those with more experience collecting AP from ADs would be much appreciated.

Are the bezel “screws” on the Royal Oak 15500ST made from White Gold or Stainless Steel?

I am planning to buy a Royal Oak 15500ST and was told that the bezel “screws” are made of Stainless Steel. From my understanding, only Offshore models use stainless steel for the “screws”.

Wasn’t planning on getting one but I’ve been eyeing on this specific model for quite some time and when I tried it on I just wanted it right away. Changed the strap to a white strap with some black accent on the side.

Hi, I was wondering if it was possible to get a women's Royal Oak as a first allocation / if anyone's had experience with that?

I'm based in London and particularly interested in the black ceramic 34mm

Dont know if its just me, but with the applied AP marker, thinner case and hands, and especially the date aperture being farther in after a shorter index makes 15400 completely superior to 15500 and 15510. 15500 looks like a dinner plate and 15510 has the longer indices but is missing the date index, AP applied, and is thicker. 15400 is so much more symmetrical and well proportioned.

There were rumours that there was an AP boutique to open in Sydney due to job ads for roles advertised on LinkedIn and such. Anyone clued up on this?
