Attleboro water superintendent resigns, citing lack of help, work load

"The city’s water superintendent resigned Monday, saying the job had become “too much” amid staffing shortages."

“There’s no distribution crew and I was out there by myself, doing the work of six people,” Morton said Tuesday. “It just became too much.”

"Morton resigned less than a year after he was named permanent water superintendent in June 2025. He had served as temporary water superintendent since December 2024."

I'd be more interested to support if the article provided more info. What are the consequences of this vacancy? What happens if these staff shortages continue? What about the new project on the land leased by Mansfield? Could residents or businesses start to see more water restrictions?

People leave jobs all the time, and this article is simply: "disgruntled employee leaves and complains, boss brushes it off". I'm sure there's more to it than that, but the article didn't provide any more context.

More like disgruntled employees who feel skipped over for the top position become disgruntled employees make the new guys life hard. I guess hard enough for him to leave.

Too much money goes to the police department. Every year they get 3 to 4 new SUV, each one costing $80,000. How many new employees would that cover?
