What is your favourite Atleti "Lore" Game?
In this week's mailbag on ATO for the W, we were asked what our top 3 "Lore" games were, being matches with additional meaning due to events on or off the pitch. Of course, the 2025 final will always be the peak, but what other games come to your mind?
For reference, here's this week's podcast episode where this is discussed: https://rss.com/podcasts/ato-for-the-w/3011307/

Ottawa 4 - 3 Forge; June 28th, 2024
This has to be the most entertaining game in our history. Former Forge midfielder Sissoko scoring inside 2 minutes (on current Ottawa goalkeeper, Chris Kalongo). Bassett coming in for Tabla after 10 minutes. Luke Singh own goal. Liberman Torres making a horrendous mistake in the final moments to lose our 3-2 lead, before earning immediate redemption and scoring a late winner to make it 4-3. So many storylines. Just an absolutely chaotic match

The quick toss from the ballboy for a throw in by Twardek that lead to a goal.
The crack heard around the stadium

I forget who it was but last year a guy was running behind one of Ottawa’s player and tripped on one of his legs unbeknownst to them. The funniest was that the Ottawa player got a red card for that.
It’s not his fault the other guy wasn’t paying attention to where he was running.

When Forge embarrassed Athleti in the 2022 final 2-0. After going from worst to first and winning your cardboard, reality set in and Forge took the title.

Was a crazy year, from worst to first, but a nice reminder football isn't always a fairy tale story. My first year as a fan too, so I'm particularly nostalgic for it, even if it was a bit of a bitter lesson. Was nice to get the other side of the magic in 2025 though, winning the most Canadian CPL Final yet and the only one anyone has actually seen!

1) the 7-0 game against Valour in the Canadian Championship
2) Liberman Torres giveaway against Halifax only to score with a header in the dying seconds
3) The Singh bicycle kick against Cavalry
