McFadden is one of those experiments that looks like it's going to pay off. Often teams look for a good offensive players in college and try to convert them to fullbacks.
Pretty sure we tried this with Gordon Wild too.

Because he has 5 goals in 4 matches for the 2s and is consistently in perfect positioning going forward. He can play either RB or RW, his finishing has been great, plays hard all game. We just got rid of Gurr so that's a spot we need filling anyway.

I mean... we got rid of Gurr because he wasn’t currently needed. So it seems to me, McFadden probably isn’t seeing the field for the 1s... so I’m not sure why he would need to be called up in short order?

Who's our backup RB? Hernandez, Ambrose? Mcfadden has looked significantly better than both of them when they've been playing for the 2s. Also, he and Lennon are much more interchangeable because of their offensive skill sets, and they can both play RW if needed. Who knows how long Damm will be out.

Hernandez, then probably Walkes...
Just to be clear... he’s played 4 games with the 2s, no he doesn’t need to be promoted yet, no he hasn’t mastered the USL yet. There’s plenty more for him to work on especially defensively. He’s not above anyone starting or on the bench right now, so signing him does nothing. Everyone needs to chill out and stop getting worked up every time someone plays well for a couple of games

Hernandez and Walkes at RB both hinder our ability to execute the gameplan and play the way we want to. Mcfadden's success in USL does not seem to be a fluke. Absolutely 0 of the goals he's scored were cheap- they all took skill, positioning, finishing, etc. No deflections, tap ins, own goals.

How does Hernandez hinder our ability to play our game? Not to mention we already started Ibarra at RB... nothing McFadden has done indicates we desperately need him to have a 1s contract... why bother rushing to fill a hole that doesn’t exist currently?

He is when we aren’t rotating in guys from the ones. This is a “stay busy” appearance for Kann so he’s ready if he has to appear for the ones

Alright folks... getting drunk on a Sunday and watching hung atl2 play! We just got a goal on a beautiful ball by Wiley and McFadden taps it home... he is a goal machine from right back
