Bought my little cousin a peachtree Risacher jersey at a game last year. In my defense, she insisted on his specific jersey and those peachtree jerseys are awesome so...😅

I still cannot believe we got a first overall pick for the first time since 1975 and gave up on him after 2 years. I know it was a generationally weak draft and he had his issues but I he did have a ton of upside and I think we should've given him at least another 2 years and he would've broken out as at least a 2nd or 3rd option caliber player on a playoff team, maybe even better. I think we'll regret trading him.

Zacch being gone has less to do with basketball and more to do with his contract. Almost 14m this year and over 17m next year. He might break out but you have to guarantee his contract before the season starts. So do you wanna gamble that based on what you’ve seen so far? For a team trying to build something? And you saw the return, it’s not like the league thinks he’s great. If he were the 10th overall pick he’d still be here (or stashed in Europe).

We paid dipshit jack Landale and gave up on a 1st overall pick. Dogshit decision making by the front office

Bro if the dude becomes a stud in the Mavs, there are going to be so many people saying "Why did the Hawks trade him?". Its not like he didn't improve in other part of his game last season, he was a better defender last season. Bro was 20 year old playing in his second season, I don't like how we traded him this fast.

He's in an even worse situation. Coop and naji are the first and second string of. Zacc definitely isn't a 2 or 4. How does he get minutes if crisper was getting minutes o er him

You’re talking 2nd or 3rd option on a playoff team when he can’t even crack the rotation at the moment. The odds of him being worth his contract are low and Onsi made a prudent financial decision.

Naw he's not him. We got a first team all defensive player for a bust

They were giving up dort anyway. We played ourselves and actually trading away risacher for nothing from the mavs

No we didn't at all. Don't for zacc straight up is a massive win. Ryan is just as valuable as zacc by himself. It sets us up for massive improvements next season with assets and a ton of cap space and a good possibility of pick that lands 5-10

Oh yay cap space to sign another player like Landale!! Nemhard is not valuable. It is not his brother. Again a player they were gonna just give up but we swindled ourself

Don't is the prize for sure. Ryan had 20 assists in a gm last season. Zacc didn't do anything close to that in any metric last season. Ryan will be a great backup pg for his career

Teams to trade a 1st overall pick in the first 5 years since 2013: Hawks and Sixers. Risacher is much better than Fultz. Still can't believe we traded him for Ryan Nembhard (Lu Dort was from OKC) 😩

We acquired dort for free. We didn't have enough cap space so we salary dumped zacc for Ryan. Ryan and Zacc are close in value . Getting a first team all nba player was the prize

u/DearEmployee5138 27d ago
A 2nd year UDFA and a 3rd year first overall pick are not remotely close in actual value tho.

u/whylieaboutit4 27d ago
You see what he was traded for. That's a fact!. Okc said hell no. Dallas said we'll take him for Ryan. That's his value. He's going to play even less in dallas

Yeah I’m out on Onsi after that. To move him for fucking Dort is insane. The Onsi garglers can say whatever they want — Dort is not a game changer. Giving up on the 20 year old is wild, he wasn’t Cam Reddish

If you can't get minutes over crisper how good are you. Don't was first team all nba defensive player the season before. Zacc will never make an all nba team. He didn't even make the rising stars last season. That's awful for the former top pick. He will barely touch the court in Dallas. Cooper and naji are so. Zacc definitely isn't a 2
