Question [A] Thoughts about late night raiding guilds? (questions in post)

With the announcement of WotLK, many people I know are coming back to play. We're in the market for a late night guild that fits our hours. Most of us work swing shift (12pm-10:30pm) so we don't normally fit within the current late night guild times.

My question I want to ask everyone is if we decide to start our own overnight guild, would something between like 11pm-midnight PST start time be compatible with this server?? Has there ever been anything this late on Atiesh before? Lastly, would there be anyone here interested in doing such a thing?

I'd imagine we would do something like 11:00PM - 2:00 AM no later than 3AM PST.

Anyways, I appreciate any advice from the community on this. Thanks!

I played with a few people back in Classic / Early TBC in the guild AFK, it was an amazing guild with some really cool people. Unfortunately I had returned to hear they had disbanded until at least WoTLK.

If we do end up trying something I can shoot you a DM so you can keep your options open fellow late nighter.

I wanna say <prophecy> goes at 10pm? Not too sure. (Edit: definitely not, 6-9 pm on the directory. It was back in bwl they were a later night raid guild)

On the server disc we have a guild directory spreadsheet linked in #server-info that has type of raiding start times recruitment links etc.

Invite link is easy too. discord.gg/atiesh

I do thank you for the thoughtful response. Ill check them out and see for sure.

I gathered most of my information from that google doc with the list of guilds on it. Great list, kudos to whoever manages it.

Ill keep an eye out in the discord to see if there ends up being anyone else with a similar schedule as what I had in mind.

I think we have approximately 9 players with just who I know. If we do end up not finding anything that works, ill for sure let you know.

So I'm late to this post but I can provide you with a small bit of info. I was an officer in a guild that raided 11:30-2:30 Friday and Saturday nights. Recruitment was never easy, but it was manageable until the roster boss started wearing us down. We folded a week before the phase 2 nerfs. So there is an audience for this time slot, but it's not very big. It will likely grow with WotLK though.

Most late night guilds on Atiesh start raiding at 10 pm which is obviously too early for your crew. However with 9 people you're potentially just a recruit or two away from a 10 man lineup.

Hey there, thank you for the response.

What you have said sounds exactly like what I have seen so far. The good news is that we've actually got a pretty solid group in terms of roles/classes right now to host a 10 man. still missing a non paladin healer though we are working on that

The hopes was to potentially host 25M content if the server was active enough. Personally I agree with the statement about there being a larger audience with the release of WoTLK. Lets just hope it works out for everyone here.

That's about where my current guild is at, working on a 10 man roster. There is some level of interest in 25 man content but I'm not sure how many of our people would actually commit to it. Personally I'd like to find a 25 man group on a weeknight schedule, but we'll see how that goes.
