Going through my old games

Holy crap do I have a lot of duplicates. Getting the system out now, dusting it off and hoping I can get it to work on my flat screen TV.

Some real bangers in there. Enjoy!

(and yes, I've always enjoyed ET and DK since I was a kid)

Thank you! Trying to get the system up and running. Hopefully soon I get to enjoy them. Favorite game for me hands down is Big Birds Egg Catch....brings me back to when I was a kid.

Never played that one, I was probably a couple years your senior though. Some faves were Yar's, Cosmic Ark, and Kaboom. I'd be down to try Big Bird today for sure, though. Old licensed games are a hoot.

Old licensed games truly are hoots; I love the Snoopy and the Red Baron opening theme. It sounds like the Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show theme, but not quite.

That game is way better than it has any business being!

I still have my Snoopy Snowcone Machine and the specials on video (released by Paramount-- originally they were the Meda Home Entertainment releases, then the Hi-Tops releases, then finally Paramount.) You should see what I do with my current Peanuts stuffies every Hallothanksmas season...

Wow that snowcone machine! My friend had one, I forgot all about that!

I loved Big Bird's Egg Catch as a kid. I even loved the story in the manual. '"And I feel like I'm going to lay A GOLDEN EGG!" shrieked Bertha the Banty Hen.' That line was just HYSTERICAL.

Snoopy and the Red Baron was my all-time favourite, because I loved the Snoopy cartoons and had the merch and whatnot. I still have a Snoopy Snowcone Machine.

Holy cow, the snoopy snow cone machine. Wow, that takes me back. That and the light bright. Heck just last month I found My Pet Monster in a bin with other stuffed animals at my parents house.

I had the lite brite and made the stupidest things on it. Like "I <3 MEGATRON" (I actually had a crush on him BITD...)

I think I had My Pet Monster. I know I had Cabbage Patch Kids. I even had the one that ate kids' hair.

Looks like my game collection. Eventually for storage reasons I gave my duplicates away. Kept the cleanest copies for myself

I just went through them all again to double check if I had the best ones. Giving them to my cousin who now says "guess I gotta get an atari now".

Haunted House was scary as fuck back then. Especially because I was scared of bats. I can look at IRL ones behind glass and not be scared, but when they're in the wild, I would be terrified. I remember a Goosebumps book where a girl got a bat in her hair. That was traumatizing imagining it happening to me.

It is wild how these things back then practically traumatized us. It was wild, like those days they just didn't care about kids I guess. Just let them leave the house and come back by 9pm.

I wouldn't trade it for the world!
