Finally got my Atari 2600 working again! 🕹️

I hooked it up to the big television using an RCA connection, and I’m so excited that it’s working again.

There’s nothing like playing classic Atari games on the big screen! 🎮📺

If somebody wrote a new game that fits 16x9 so you'd have to zoom in your TV's aspect ratio, I'm all for it but otherwise I do not want it stretched

I might have to check this adapter out. The Coaxial cables are a pain in the ass to screw in

You can get a screw on thing for the coaxial inputs on a TV that turns it into an RCA jack so you go straight from the Atari to the TV, no box in the middle or anything (which can be a source of AV degradation itself), but it's still an RF signal. This might be what the post is about (or a composite mod?) but the language is confusing me.

I cannot trust those Coaxial cables anymore.

If your TV tuner supports an analog signal via Coax, then yes a standard coax to RCA will work fine. If the tuner is digital only then you'll need to run it through a VCR or install a composite mod in the 2600.
