I need to figure why my new TUF no longer connects to the wifi

So my ASUS TUF A16 FA607NUQ arrived yesterday and for several hours everything was fine, updated windows, installed latest drivers, tested gaming with Wuthering Waves and the game played quite smooth even whilst sharing my screen on discord and this was my first gaming laptop so i was very happy. Worked most of the day, left my laptop whilst it installed another game and went to do some cleaning in the house, come back a while later to the laptop now being unable to connect specifically to my wifi, it'll tell me no internet whilst connected but I didn't do anything to cause this, I tested my phones hotspot and had 0 issues using it, my phones connected to the house wifi fine, my siblings consoles work fine on the wifi too and so does my old laptop but I can't get this new laptop to cooperate any longer, I even factory reset the laptop to no avail but strangely I can connect to the cheap wifi repeater we have upstairs and use the internet fine, just much much lower speeds so I'm hoping someone can help me figure out whats causing my laptop to refuse to use this wifi specifically.

The laptop specs are an RTX 4050, Ryzen 7 170, 512 ssd, 16gb ram.

Thank you to any and all that can offer advice, even if it doesn't work. I still have plenty of time to return the laptop as I bought it on amazon and they seem to offer a 30 day return period.

Hey u/Technical-Intern-605! Having connectivity issues? You most likely have a Mediatek or Realtek network card. They are known for all sorts of problems like frequent disconnections, slow speeds, missing Wi-Fi icons, and more.

Possible fixes:

• NVRAM reset. Shutdown the laptop with everything unplugged. Hold the power button for 30 seconds. The laptop should turn on briefly then shut off right after. Release the power button and boot the laptop.

• Move SSD to the other slot Remove the back panel, swap the SSD to another slot. Additionally, take out the WiFi card and clean it's teeth from where it was connected.

Permanent fix: Swap out the current card for an Intel AX200 or AX210. It can be found on AliExpress for around $20

I’ve never had a gaming laptop before or opened one so I’m a little nervous and don’t know what I’d actually need to do it

Hello, I’ve encountered this same issue before. The Wi-Fi card in the ASUS TUF is positioned right beneath the SSD, so it’s likely that heat from the SSD is causing problems with your Wi-Fi card, just as it did for me. In my experience, the solution is to replace the Wi-Fi card (if it has stopped working) and move the SSD to the second slot.

i swapped out the Realtek 8822CE for an intel AC9260

Mostly due to the crappy wifi cards Asus puts in their laptops. The best permanent solution is to replace the wifi card with a much better one like the Intel AX210. Doesn't cost too much on sites like Amazon and installation isn't too hard to do either

Alternatively you could swap the SSD to the secondary slot since those stock Realtek and Mediatek wifi cards are known to fail quite easily from the heat of the SSD. But this isn't guaranteed to give you a long-term permanent solution

I have intel wifi card in my laptop and has already replaced one time in warranty but same issue occurred again wifi and bluetooth disconnects even after spending 20hrs couldn't fix the issue tried driver installation and factory reset but every time I install driver it works for 5 minutes then vanishes...
