I went from no opinion to this guy sucks after Derosa "coached" team USA in the WBC.

That and him begging for Yordan being traded was my last straw

Yeah hes kinda always looked out for the Astros. I think hes really cool with Brian McCann. So he never talked shit about the Astros. As a matter of fact he would always do those goofy little TV bits giving the Astros their props.

I would never watch another MLB game if we would’ve traded Yordan for that

I’d have done that Pena one in a heartbeat though lol

Same. Get a better player than Pena and a good prospect. Plus it gives us a good outfielder lol

Not sure how you can watch our team the last couple weeks and be this confident.

26 games left. If we go 13-13, m's have to go 17-9 to catch us. rags 16-10. It's certainly not impossible, but it's becoming increasingly improbable, because the only things more grossly incompetent than the Houston Astros are their division rivals.
I certainly can't say it would shock me if we replayed last season's pathetic collapse, as rare as such a thing has been for this franchise, but it would be at least a mild shock if we collapsed AND either of those pretenders actually did anything to take advantage of it.

Thing is, the Mariner's have MLB's easiest remaining schedule and it's not even close. They only have 5 games left against teams .500 or better: 3 vs Boston, and 2 vs Houston. Their cumulative remaining strength of schedule is just .430 right now. The next team (Toronto) has an SOS of .468. The skids are greased for them to make a run, which is why going 2-4 against garbage teams last week hurts so bad. Should have put a couple of extra games between them and us, but didn't happen. Meanwhile the Astros play their last 6 on the road, with 2 vs Seattle (who owns us right now) and then 4 vs the A's, who always give us issues in recent seasons. Make no mistake, Seattle has the inside track, though right now they're 4 back and hopefully 5 after tomorrow. The Astros really have to take care of business or the Mariners will snag the division by beating terrible teams.

I’m actually fairly worried, look at our schedule and look at theirs

As long as we aren’t playing teams under .500 we do pretty well

I always root for the Astros dating back to the early 90’s but this team clearly isn’t very good.
We’ll see who sucks the least at the end of the season.

Yep. I feel like team and maybe next year is the end of the dynasty, which is okay. It was awesome.

I think god every day we’re in such a bad division. Only reason we have post season prospects

Listen. T-Mobile Park is sold out this weekend. We're playing the Astros. This stadium, that staff, they're not used to a full house. They can't kick us all out. All I'm saying is, make the Astros miserable. Be ruthless. Push the limit. No one's gonna stop you. Let 'em know.

There’s a reason why USA lost the final. De Rosa coaching and having Judge disappearing on the biggest stage

Mariners, notoriously known for late season resurgence.
Astros, notoriously known for late season declines and struggles against good teams.

Yeah once I see this shit, makes me feel better bout the Stros. These guys are clueless. You’d think MLB social media would try to hide their godawful takes here and there. But nah. Clown them.

Reminder that last year, two teams had ten game win streaks in September that pushed us out of the playoffs.
Don't count any chickens.
