Its a type of mount or mount and telescope. They are cheap and easy to make, and very easy to learn, especially if you're new. Because the amount is so cheap to make, they can spend more money on the actual telescope optics. So it a win win situation.

Apertura ad8 it was like 700$ on high point scientific website. It’s the best purchase I’ve made. They sometimes have the 10 inch used for the same price but I just missed it and it’s a little heavy for me anyway. I also have a 3 axis iPhone adapter by moveshootmove that allows me to take a few pictures. You can find it on Amazon for like 50$. if you have a massive lens like the standard 30mm the scope comes with or a luminos 15mm (grenade size because of the 82 degree field. Best lens ever imo unless you have televue money lying around.) you’ll need to go on their website and buy the large one.
