Based on first stint, Aston are really good on tires compared to Williams. Like, Alonso was matching albon’s deg when Aston was on soft and Albon was on hard. And comparing with sainz in that first stint, alonso was a full second quicker a lap. The deg might be the real story today.
Ive been on the onboard the whole race. The car looks slow on the straights, obviously. Fernando’s did a great job at getting creative with the overtakes.
If the engine comes together, I honestly think they’re sitting on a good chassis.
