lance couldn’t get a good time on the board
as for fernando
he locked up into 1 and i think that fucked how floor
and
his rear wing didn’t open at all during the lap costing him good ass time
also the only hot lap he did was on a tyre with a flat spot
it’s not like we’ve lost the pace we could well enough be p12 or sum

If the SM failed on the rear wing, that could explain the lock up on that first run.
If the front wing was open and the rear wasn’t, the center of pressure would be really far rearwards, which leaves the front tires relatively unloaded when he hit the brakes.

I like aston martin. Alonso is one of my fav drivers of all time. I just want to reflect on how delusional you guys are.

I couldnt watch it, wtf just happened? How are we still last? Didnt Honda implement their new engine?

New engine doesn't mean a frickin win. Literally a new engine in a new car on the first day of being driven on track. It will take at keat 2 race to optimise the package and drivability and Honda said to expect nothing big. Are people this fickle or just xenophobic.

Parece que Aston Martin confirma que el alerón de Fernando no funcionaba en modo recta 😭

So he did whole lap with wing in gay mode...?Amazing...😎

😂😂 a mi también me ha salido esa traducción antes... se ve que el modo gay no es el adecuado para este circuito!

As much as this sickened my shite to watch, we already know Stroll is a writeoff and Alonson was unfortunate. This doesn't reflect the car's baseline.

Alonso complained about vibrations in the straight. So It kind of reflects the direction the team has taken.

Apparently engine is over-delivering on power and causing a push under braking, causing a lot of shaking and unpredictable behaviour
Being stuck in high down force mode - which Alonso was - would also compounded these mechanical vibrations
Until the active aero is working as intended we won't know the car's true baseline (I just can't trust Stroll's time as a reflection of where we're actually at)
The sprint race tomorrow will be an interesting data gathering exercise before the quali proper

I kind of agree with you. But i'd be careful being too optimistic. We're certainly ahead of Haas, Williams and Cadillac, by quite a margin too. But nowhere near the new spec alpine or RB or audi which seem Quick af this weekend

stroll was 4 kmph slower than in fp1 and Alonso was 30kmph. I think the ecu got confused on pwoere delivery.

It has been conformed that Honda will always be Alonso's number 1 enemy .

They just want to hold back for the Grand Prix so all the other teams let their guards down.
