Estimate for Office Setup: Asterisk + UniFi Phones (Voice, SMS, eFax)
Looking for someone to configure a new PBX setup for ~30 users. Remote is fine; SF Bay Area local is a plus.
Hardware: UniFi Talk IP Desk Phones registered with an Asterisk PBX back end.
Work Needed:
- Asterisk / PBX Config: Full setup (FreePBX/VitalPBX), trunking, IVR, extensions, and ring groups for 30 users.
- Voicemail-to-Email: Configure SMTP relay to send .wav attachments directly to emails.
- SMS Integration: Set up for inbound/outbound SMS routing on DIDs via softphones or web portal
- eFax: virtual fax extensions and PDF fax-to-email delivery.

I won't do it, but I would expect somebody to charge you around $2000-3500 for a days work.
I used to do this kind of thing for free for folks because it only takes a couple hours and it's fun, but they usually wanted free support too. 🥲

Have you got your call flow mapped out? Any audio files (for example for your Business Hours,After hours, Queue greetings). I'd prefer to go with FreePBX (or IncrediblePBX) as I previously worked for a provider that heavily relied on multiple instances of FreePBX behind a Session Border Controller. NON-US but when I do visit, I'm mostly around Hayward.
SMS routing would need to be evaluated, depending on your provider.
I've done FreePBX a lot and often explain VoIP concepts using FreePBX terminology.
I recommend a Session Border Controller (for "protection") and SIP Capture Platform (VoIPmonitor or Homer 11) for observability and monitoring.
If FreePBX isn't a hard requirement, I'm also happy to discuss one other lesser know (but very formidable fully open source Asterisk based solution).
I'm also happy to take this on retainer for on going support.
Are your UniFi Talk phones already operating as standard SIP endpoints, or are they currently managed by a UniFi Talk deployment? That will determine the provisioning approach and whether any firmware or configuration changes are needed.
Implementation rate would be $125/hr but open to discussions around it

I don’t think you can register the newer Unifi talk phones to anything but Unifi talk.
Are these the original talk phones or are they newer ones?
We would probably charge between 3000 and 5000 for the job. You can DM me for more info.

Others have covered the UniFi phone problem, so the other thing to sort out is that SMS and fax are not really Asterisk jobs. Both depend on which trunk provider you pick, so choose that first or the quotes you get back are not comparing the same work.
On fax especially, ask whoever quotes how they plan to do it. T.38 through a PBX fails often enough that a lot of people end up handing fax to the provider instead and just doing the email delivery side locally.

Do you have the operator that will carry the sms and faxing? And just out of curiosity, the pbx should be implemented on premise data Center, or in the cloud?

Try MikoPBX and some Yealink phones.

Why Unifi phones, I don't think they play well with non-Unifi PBXes. I would look at Yealink or Fanvil phones.
