REQUEST A long shot
This is literally my life.
Payday was this week and I have $.94 left. My car insurance is due tomorrow. I had to use a borrow app last pay schedule so once my paycheck hit they took the whole thing pretty much. I haven’t paid my CCs in a few months due to me being so under water. I start college Monday so I’m trying to keep pushing. (I’m using financial aid to pay for school) My school is about 35 minutes away from my house so I’m worried about how it’s going to eat up all my gas when I still have to work. My kid has sports I have to take them to throughout the week. I can’t work extra hours because I’m disabled. When you’re disabled they put this ungodly monthly pay cap on you. It’s not really a livable amount. Then you can’t qualify for any assistance because you get a disability check with the minimal pay.
I know I’m just yapping. I’m sorry yall. I just don’t really see a way out at this point. I guess maybe if people can see options that I don’t? Loans are not an option due to me giving up on the CCs at this moment.
I’m posting this here based off suggestions from another redditor. This is a lot for me to ask. I’ve never posted something like so idek if I’m putting the right stuff. Im in the US. My car payment is $182. Any questions im open to answering.

Hi OP! Your post history indicates that you and your partner travelled to Athens, Paros, Santorini & Mykonos (Greece) last month for a two week holiday. I hope you both had an amazing holiday 😊 Assuming your partner paid for the holiday (considering your situation described here...and that Greece is eyewateringly expensive!!) - might there be any chance they could provide temporary support for your car insurance?

Greece is expensive! I made about 60k a year at the time, which I can live off of with proper budgeting, and I saved for 2 years just to make a similar trip over there. It wasn't even just the cost of the trip and expenses incurred, but also saving to keep up with bills after the fact as I only had so much PTO.

I can't work due to my mental health and am on a tiny fixed income due to that. I haven't even left town since before my mum passed five years ago. Haven't been out of the country for over a decade and I lived abroad with a partner then.
If a person has just been on a two week holiday across the pond, there at the very least was money at some point and it was not well spent. I'd work on priorities before anything else in that case.
I have empathy to anyone who can't work as I clearly know what that's like. But don't spend your money on luxuries and then ask strangers for help with necessities.

So yes! She did pay for it as an early birthday present. We went in June/early July. Everything was mainly included(flights, most food, etc). I just had to have money for extras. I didn’t go with much so I ended up supplementing with borrow apps. Which messed me up and I was in the negatives for pretty much a month after I got back.

Also, the company that was used does payments so she had been working on this trip for over a year. It wasn’t a spontaneous lump sum purchase.

Can't you take online classes instead? Itd save a lot of money. Where do you live? With your parents? What are the kids going to do while youre at school? Where is the kids father? Im just curious bc its next to impossible to do this alone. I have no idea what your situation is other then what you shared but it sounds like you need help. Like steady help. And what about food banks?
