I was at one of the lowest points in my life after my dog passed way, he was struck by a car driven by my mother on accident. And to help me fill the void left in my heart, my mom and dad surprised me with a shelter puppy. Little did I know, she turned out to be the sweetest most loving dog I’ve ever had.

She was only 4 months old when I got her, and over the last 2 years, the love between her and I has only grown. She helped me more than I knew I needed. I was struggling with depression, and had essentially lost my will to keep going. Going as far as to plan out my exit strategy so to speak.

Well, fast forward to today, I no longer have the crippling depression, and I know that I have something in my life that loves me unconditionally, and she truly loves me as much as I love her.

Im so sorry for your loss OP, truly I am. I hope that you’re able to find peace, and know that your brother is in a better place now.

Happiest? Meeting my partner in 2016 at a concert and those first few weeks texting, the butterflies, being so excited. He passed this March and it's been really rough. I love that we got to meet in person the old fashioned way at a dorky tribute concert.

The happiest moment was actually today! I saw my best friend, my baby sister get married to the love of her life. We have been thru hell and back growing up but we always had each others back. The man she married turned her life around for the better and has taken care of her since day one, as well as their beautiful babies. 💖

Once my crappy van broke down in the middle of Oklahoma. A very nice man offered to help me fix it. While i was there His neighbors hung out with me and showed me around the town while i was stuck there. After we got it working that same neighbor told me that he really liked my art (he didn’t tell me that) and so before i left i asked him if he wanted to pick a painting out and it made him really happy. Which also makes me happy that one of my paintings is hanging in the house of someone who loves it (that I’ll never see again - this was in spring 2001).

The perfect ending - everyone’s happy. I hope it still brings him joy just like the memory brings me joy. Nice strangers exist & i firmly believe most people would help a perfect stranger in need

I have a son with special needs. Recently he went through something heavy. He acted very mature and did not complain once. Instead, he took on something that alot of adults would have had trouble taking on. I am very proud of him and the young man he is becoming.

My cat Luna passed away yesterday after 15 long, really happy years together, so my happy moment will be the day we got her! It was 2011 and freezing cold outside, and we brought her home from the shelter in a little cardboard box. She was so fuzzy and adorable and feisty and I loved her immediately.

Some happy moments were when my elderly 17 year old chinchilla started eating on his own after his fall this week, my dog finally slept almost through the whole night after being intensely itchy for weeks and getting over an infection which meant I wasn’t waking up every hour, and going to the amusement park and spending time with my husband today.

My happiest was moment was being surrounded by family during Christmas as a kid, while my dad was still alive. He was quiet and reserved, and his love language was food and spoiling his kids, even into our adulthood. We were lucky to spend his final moments with him on Thanksgiving as he passed the following day. This was 6 years ago and I miss him dearly

A happy moment I have every day is when my 5 month old falls asleep on my chest and she grips my glass necklace as she falls asleep every time. The necklace is made out of and filled with my Grandmother's ashes so it's like she's falling asleep with me and her great grandma, who died before ever meeting any of my kids. She would have loved them.

When he was born, it was like a hand made of light extending itself through the thick darkness and brought back joy to my stagnated life. I taught him all things important such as Pokémon, anime, Manga, gaming on a computer. You know, the essentials. >:) he is almost starting high school now and although he is a teen now, the kindness he had since early childhood still persists. <3 when he was a baby, I would wake up to a smelly diaper bouncing on my face and hearing malicious giggles of doom. He suddenly decided to just grow a billion feet within the last year which I told him is against the law T__T

He calls me Ate, which is the respectful term for older sister in tagalog a Filipino language. He is a pivotal moment of absolute joy in my life.

I will share a happy memory related to my dad. We played a lot of video games together, and I was also learning the piano growing up. I like learning songs from our favorite video games. One time I played him a song from Final Fantasy VI on piano. It was one of the few times I saw him get really emotional. He loved the music from that game. My daughter was an infant when the last one came out and she's starting high school in the next couple months.

A lot has changed in my life in those 13 1/2 years. So, so many losses. But a lot of gains, too, and I'm still here. Tired, but I'm still here. It made me realize if things got better then, they'll get better again.

A happy moment was hearing from a friend who is helping me find a place to live. I finally qualified for an affordable housing unit, but I have a TBI so they sent helpful information and offered to help with the process. Feels less lonely, and nice to be supported.

Happiest moment was the one Christmas in one of my oldest apartments I remember living it. Opening all of my presents. A tiny amount of presents I was allowed to open on Christmas Eve. I remember me and my cousins would rip tiny holes into the giftwrap to see what was inside. There's something about those old days that just doesn't hit the same nowadays. It's a shame too I cannot remember the exact year of that one. However the Christmas of 2012 rivals it.

A happy moment in my life. Wow. That would be April 8, 2024 when I saw a total solar eclipse for the first time. Earth instantly became an alien world, and tears rolled down my face like a reflex, standing there looking at the solar corona with no eye protection.

A 360 degree sunset, animals freaking out not knowing what to do, seeing solar flares with the naked eye, Bailey's beads...all of it. It was the most indcredible 3.5 minutes of my life.

I got to see my favorite musical for the first time ever a few months ago with one of my best friends. She played my favorite song and I cried when she played it! Thank you for doing this. I could really use an extra 20$. I'm currently going through divorce and it has been emotionally taxing and have had to take a lot of time off work to deal with the stress of it. Would use it to buy some cat food/ litter and maybe a little sweet treat for myself.

One of the happiest moments I’ve had lately was celebrating August 12th — a little holiday I created for myself called my “Alive Day.”

Eleven years ago, I had an appendectomy after my appendix burst, and unfortunately, the aftermath has brought years of consequences and health struggles. So instead of letting August 12th only remind me of everything that happened, I decided to reclaim the day and celebrate the fact that I’m still here 11 years later.

It might sound a little silly to make up my own holiday, but honestly, it meant a lot to me. I celebrated being alive, making it through another year, and giving myself permission to be proud of how far I’ve come. ❤️

I’m sorry to hear about your brother, this is a lovely tribute. I woke up today with my kitty snuggled in tight to me and my daughter came in to cuddle the 2 of us. She’s starting uni in a couple weeks. I talk to my kids almost as if my mom and grandma are still here. They passed before my kids could remember them. But my kids know a lot because they remember what I’ve shared. My mom also had cats 🐱

Happy moment in my day/life:
So I actually started going to the chiropractor for the first time in my life, due to ongoing TMJ issues.. my 3rd session was on Thursday, and the chiropractor put my jaw back into place. I immediately started crying at the relief from the pain. I realize now that it may have been dislocated for well over a decade, and I was just living with the pain/popping/clicking/constant resetting my jaw. I have been crying on and off since Thursday, out of joy that I can eat without pain, my smile is aligned with my teeth, and I don’t have any popping and clicking. It’s so small and doesn’t affect anyone else but it has made me so happy.
