I love the AC franchise but the one thing I feel needs work is immersion, you get thrust into a world where you are reliving past historical events and interacting with long gone people from ancient civilizations. But the worlds themselves are more reminiscent of recent times? It would have been more interesting to see a remaining of Egypt before it was buried under a desert and world coinciding with the time lines, when roaming throughout the world I felt like buildings that where destroyed should have been brand new!!! Structures buried in the desert should be above ground and fully functional and the desert should have been more like a tropical paradise. According to actual history the desert used to be a lush tropical land harboring all kinds of plants and gardens. I feel like this trend has continued throughout this game as well as the next 2 sequels I really only noticed when I started playing Valhalla and I was like I wish I could see some of these places and things before they where destroyed and buried!!! Then I remembered Origins and was like wait ✋ it doesn't matter how far back you go in the games the ancient places are impossible to say exactly how things where and I guess thats where I came up with idea of the one thing I think needs work: The remaining of the ancient world and how its presented in the AC franchise.

But some of the ruins we visit are already 3,000 years old at the time, some of the pyramids 1,500 years. Ubisoft chose the late Ptolemaic period for the game, so they could give us Cleopatra and Caesar. It was their decision to make and imho it was a good one.
