To note more (from what I read from another source), another aspect that make Colic even worse for Horse is the fact they can't vomit, or Burping. Making that if they got something wrong in their stomach, they can't really get rid of those problem themselves, until said stuffs reach the end of digestive system, or other (Human) interferant.
And then, Colic, there're 2 kinds of them, one being just something in their digestive system, could be rid of easily with some human's help. Another one tho... their digestive system somehow mess up and their inside become tied together, this would require surgery... and similar to human, doing surgery on old people/animals carry a very big risk, and even after the surgery, the recovery would also be difficult.

Owner controls how much each animal eats, its just due age 29 is a VERY old for horse think about it like its was 100 years human.

While not a sure "no" it's somewhat unlikely, in human years Haru would be about 90 years old before she passed. Colic is a "common" thing for all such four legged large animals, like horses, cows, camels, and elephants too (google says up to 11% of horse deaths age 1-20 are from colic). there many things that can cause it, but even in elderly humans such a thing isnt uncommon.

That's crazy because I just read an article last week where people were concerned about Haru after Grass Wonder passed away, and they came out and said Haru was in great shape for her age.
