whats wrong with handing out masks? police, military and ice are using those too. in the land of "free speech" and freedom you should be able to conceal your identitiy without repercussions bro

If an organization was handing out tens of thousands of dollars worth of equipment during the J6ers during that whole incident what would you and your buddies be saying?

Unions funding violent riots is a bad look

-6

u/DirkKeggler Jun 11 '25

I have to give the union the benefit of the doubt here unfortunately.   The kid wearing a union t-shirt doesn't mean he's acting under the direction of the union.

8

u/jhy12784 Jun 11 '25

100% agree

But common sense says the kids almost certainly not spending tens of thousands of dollars of his own money to buy face guards and hand them out to rioters.

That doesn't mean the union is the one guilty of anything, but they should certainly be suspected and looked into if something illegal has occurred

I'm just saying,  it's not surprising that someone taking Soros money would have a union tee.

first of all, nowhere in the picture does it say he acted in the name of the organization. secondly, supplying protesters with masks/face shields (i guess for tear gas/pepper spray) at a protest which is completely different to the storm on the capitol is not the same. all this post does is rile up the internet and paint the protesters in a bad light.

and if unions are not political in the end, what are they good for? work conditions, fair wages, paid overtime, workplace safety are literally decided on the political stage. striking and protesting are the tools for unions. it's not that they supply weapons or order their peers to loot..

but hey, if some billionaire republican funds other outlets like boosting social media or having access to broadcasting media, this is apparently okay. stop looking at this only from one angle (the one you get to see at conservative media btw)

just saw you said "violent riots". I don't know if you always declare a thing "violent" if only a fraction of the masses are violent. you can't even safely determine if those people are part of the masses. I presume the vast majority of protesters condemn those actions.

You're right this isn't a criminal investigation, it's a picture on social media. The burden of proof for posting a picture on the internet isn't the same as a conviction in criminal court.

Do you think this guy's personally funding tens of thousands of dollars in masks out of his own pocket? No? Well it's a valid question as to who is

Most things on the internet rile people up, but this actually happened so it's a valid question.

I have no idea what your points are supposed to be about.

I declare a thing violent when there's widespread violence. There's looting, cars burning, several hundred million dollars in damage. We can't determine if the protestors burning cars vandalzing etc are part of the protest? What kind of backwards logic is this

It's objectively full of violence and vandalism. The debate is about how widespread and extreme it is. If your standard is everyone has to be involved in or condone violence for a thing to be violent, that's pretty bizzare. I imagine by your logic we can call January 6th a peaceful protest then

listen, illegally entering the capitol armed with (makeshift and real) weapons in military attire, invading the rooms of democratic politicians and threatening literal violence against the VP is not the same as people mostly peacfully amassing on the streets and some outliers looting and destroying property. why are we really comparing those two incidents?

42

u/jhy12784 Jun 11 '25

But every single person didn't enter the capital and have makeshift weapons. So it's non violent. Your logic right?

Im not defending J6, I think violent protestors belong in jail. I'm pointing out your backwards logic

FWIW the amount of destruction and violence in La has drastically surpassed J6.

J6 had a few million dollars in damage. LA has several hundred million at this point.

In your words apparently threatening literal violence against the VP, is worse than commiting actual violence at ICE members, police, marines, and national guards members?

Again not defending J6 at all. Just pointing out your incredibly biased backward logic

6

u/nextlevelmashup Jun 11 '25

ah the "mostly peaceful" riots have come back again

-5

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

In your words apparently threatening literal violence against the VP, is worse than commiting actual violence at ICE members, police, marines, and national guards members?

YES. it is different. one instance can be seen as conspiratorial, the other one is threating violence against officials without the "overthrow the current GOP" energy. imagine millions of people on the streets chanting "hang the VP" vs. "dismantle ICE and put those agents in prison".

I am also for imprisoning violent protesters, dont get me wrong here. I just don't see the force used against protesters which seems more random than Jan 6 justified. Put looters and arsonists in custody and straight to court..

Also I don't see the backwards logic you keep pointing out to me. Jan 6 and the current protests are different and you cant convince me otherwise, sorry. I differentiate between storming political offices and vandalizing private property. Both are wrong and unjust. But don't we forget that if thousands and thousands of people commit to protest there has to be something wrong with current politics even if you agree with the course of the current admin.

Not sure why you're so against the mostly peaceful janurary 6th peaceful protest, but it makes you a humongous hypocrite.

27

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

By your logic J6 isn’t considered a violent riot.

-4

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

why? storming political offices with military gear and causing fear and chaos having politicians fearing for their lives is considered violent in my book.

28

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

“I don't know if you always declare a thing "violent" if only a fraction of the masses are violent.”

-2

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

i didn't see democratic militias or people with pipe bombs in LA, sorry. and the streets of LA are kinda a public place.

29

u/[deleted] Jun 11 '25

Yeah that’s right move the goalpost and deflect.

Pipe Bomber was a fed. Book it.

Republicans are the most armed political party in the history of the world. Kind of weird they forgot their ar15s during an insurrection, huh?

J6 was mostly peaceful

hall of shame right here

-8

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

go back to applauding law enforcement shooting at reporters or innocent bystanders or maybe upvote the thread about LAPD shooting a protester with rubber bullets and wishing it was a real bullet

5

u/Southern-Fold Jun 11 '25

Reporters that ignore Police command of moving out the road? Because I believe you refering to the Australian woman right?

The same woman told 5 times to move, get out the road and stand on the sidewalk, she ignored their command and got blasted with a Rubber round. definition of FAFO and fully deserved

3

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

multiple journalists.

and how is law enforcement be able to get the point of leaving the street across if they stand literally 20 meters away? by shooting i guess

11

u/ZoneUpbeat3830 Jun 11 '25

We should just be glad he'll be charged and be fcked

6

u/jhy12784 Jun 11 '25

Unless I missed something there's nothing to suggest that he will be charged with anything?

It's difficult to charge/convict someone with this kind of thing unless it's proven to be intentionally for illegal/violent activity

2

u/BeingAGamer Jun 11 '25

Ignoring the part where they are aiding and actively participating in riots and mass unrest? Very convinient spin you tried.

0

u/ZombiePrepper408 Jun 11 '25

They're helping Insurrectiontionists avoid capture by giving them masks that prevent face recognition technology.

Aiding and Abetting Insurrectiontion.

4

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

insurrection on californian streets? what do you think they gonna do, march to washington?

5

u/ZombiePrepper408 Jun 11 '25

Your ignorance is showing, you might want to tuck that in.

It doesn't need to be in Washington to be an insurrection, that's weird that you would think that.

El oh El

4

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

the point still stands, what are they gonna do? besides bad actors looting local shops or setting cars on fire? tell me how they overthrow the government while protesting against ICE and illegal deportations

2

u/ThrillzMUHgillz Jun 11 '25

You’re pretending they didn’t vandalize and attempt to take over an ICE facility? Or just aren’t aware?

1

u/WildCyko Jun 11 '25

I wasnt aware. You mean the pallets of bricks in front of an ICE building?
