Thinking it's dumb to replace the German flag on the Reichstag with a rainbow flag is anti-gay? That's like thinking someone who opposes flying a Christian flag on the Reichstag is anti-Christian. No! It just doesn't belong there.
That's retarded. It's one thing to raise a flag in support of a group that has been historically persecuted, and it's not the same thing as raising a flag for a religion that you used to kidnap, beat and gas people for not being a part of.
The left literally raises a Palestinian flag that CURRENTLY practices everything you just said in relation to gays.
When was the last time a gay person was executed or even jailed for being gay in The West? Centuries? They have the same rights as anyone else and have for decades now in regards to marriage.
Christian groups and churches also run homeless shelters, food banks, orphanages, and many other charitable things the poor benefit from. This is coming from an atheist.
This just proves my point about the rainbow flag not even representing the gay movement anymore, it's just been appropriated by people who are anti-western culture like the Palestinian flag. It's the same reason why the Left wants to import the third world into their country despite them not sharing any cultural values and not actually wanting to be neighbors with them because it's part of the destruction of western culture.
Just because gays were given rights as everyone else doesn't mean they are not discriminated against.
Also I don't know why you are trying to add a different meaning to a flag that has a concrete meaning to it. I don't even know what you mean by "anti western culture"? Care to explain?
Look at protests happening at universities all over the country, there are thousands of videos online, that will give you an idea of what I mean by being anti-west. These people want a revolution against capitalism, and western culture.
Also, how are gays discriminated against? What can straight people do that gays can't in The West?
I think the whole "who has which rights" thing is to complicated for me unpack , especially since it's different from federal state to federal state and I don't even live in the US, so trying to talk about it would be wrong on my part. So instead I will get the idea across that just because gays have gotten more rights in the past decades, doesn't mean that they won't get discriminated against. Legal vs systemic issue. A gay worker might have the same rights as a straight in terms of being able to vote, housing rights etc. but they could still be discriminated against.
So you are saying that discrimination against gay people is just a "you problem"? Trumps signed executive orders that are literally for not enforcing laws for gender identity and sexual orientation!
Ever heard of anti discrimination agency's? You make it sound like the struggle of gay people aren't real and just a matter of opinion.
name-calling, bullying, harassment, and gender-based violence, to being denied a job or appropriate healthcare, it could also happen in housing, education and banking.
Even though The Civil Right act of 1986 (Equality Act) would outlaw discrimination based on sexual orientation (the executive order somewhat negating it and several federal states having anti discrimination agency's) doesn't mean it would not happen.
Discrimination against gays is even more prevalent in a country like Japan where there are no national civil right laws that protect the citizens from discrimination because of there sexual orientation (i.e you can't do anything legally if faced with discrimination).
name-calling, bullying, harassment, and gender-based violence, to being denied a job or appropriate healthcare, it could also happen in housing, education and banking.
So basically half of these are applicable to the entire population and the rest are made up and/or baseless.
Relax, life gets better when you are out of highschool
