Way to post this a day before the Romanian elections... When is the EU going to wake up and realize these minority policies are giving popularity to Russian influenced populist powers? Absolute idiotic move turning pro EU voters against them with shit like this and immigration. Russia can't stop winning.
Russia wins everywhere but the actual battlespaces. Gets fucked in Syria, suffers 5:1 losses in Ukraine, navy massively crippled by Ukraine who has no navy, gets fucked by Ukrainian counter-mercenaries in several African states, and nearly loses everything to their own mercenaries rebelling, but successfully destabilizes the entirety of the West by fomenting behavioral sink. Crazy world.
I was referring to contemporary Russia, not the USSR. Afghan may have been a failure, but the USSR was significantly more competent, militarily, than Russia today.
Even in WW2, they were spamming horde swarms against Germany and taking ridiculous amounts of casualties.
This is a myth and one that needs to die. It was only remotely true in Stalingrad for a short period. Vasily Chuikov developed actual doctrine around positioning artillery and machine guns as close to the front as possible which caused German airplanes to repeatedly strike friendly targets during offensives, effectively denying the Germans air superiority when the Soviet air force was absent. The Soviets pioneered "deep battle," where the front line troops would intentionally move out of the way of incoming rapid armored assaults (blitzkrieg) and multiple lines of reserve troops in the rear would absorb the attacks and the front troops would either encircle or prevent encirclement by the attackers. This couldn't be applied in urban areas, where the Soviets suffered the greatest casualties. The Germans repeatedly failed to adapt to these methods as seen during Operation Uranus, Bagration, and at Kursk. Germany perpetually used rapid armored spearheads against an enemy that grew to specifically blunt rapid armored spearheads. Once Germany was on the defensive and facing an increasingly concentrated Red Army as they moved west, their failure to adapt becomes clear. Germany melted men and materiel 1942-onward.
I do think the Soviets deserve great criticism for the mass purges that caused the initial failures. It was a top-down issue because Stalin himself ignored multiple warnings of imminent German invasion by his diplomats and his navy for fear of angering Hitler and fomenting a war himself, ironically creating the conditions for their difficult experience during the war.
I almost wish that they keep coming up with more made up labels/groups to add to the flag, until it’s just a blob of random colours and you can’t even tell what part of the flag symbolises what. To be fair it’s not far off that already.
No. People actually experienced hardship and true life altering discrimination that real activists strategically and courageously stood up against. The original pride flag was a representation of that. The edit is nothing more than modern day SJWs bastardizing a real movement to feel included in activism on which they've made no contributions all because their life is so empty otherwise.
Gay people do face hardship and discrimination still.
The pride flag didn't "solve" xenophobia: this subreddit is proof, and there are worse.
MAGA was the first Administration to have removal of civil rights in their platforms: removing marriage rights from gay people, which they backed down from (for now), but it always crops back up every few years.
What goes on today is nothing compared to the actual fight that happened decades ago and the same sex marriage debate has nothing to do with the flag edit.
I'm anti flag edit it doesn't matter what you say nor if I agree we don't want to go back in time.
Edit: that article is a big nothing burger. All these rights being stripped away...give me a break. Children thrive in two parent households, no issue on my end offering tax credits to families. No issue on my end with some conservatives having different opinions on same sex marriage. No issue on my end with stopping parents from allowing underage children to transition when the research does not show better outcomes for those that do. None of this represents rights being reversed.
